CSP 24B56 - Inoperative Front Parking Sensor(s) - IPMA Software Update for Certain 2022-24 F-150 Lightning Trucks

Man this is a long thread... can anyone give me a TLDR summary?

I have this CSP but am unaware of what if/any problem that I have.

Is this worth the risk/hassle of bringing it in and having them screw something else up?

Seeing as you have a '22, you run the potential to encounter the smaller 360 camera view if the tech does not run the 360 camera configurator after the update.

Yessir. That's what mine looks like - no front camera activation.

And the front camera not activating issue.

I don't have the small 360deg camera issue on my 22, but do have the no front camera on approach issue.

Have you ever used FORScan on your truck? I have. I am wondering if something we have changed may have caused it

Mine has been at the dealer for over a week and they cant figure it out, it worked fine before the CSP, though.

I have never used Forscan. Same here - dealer cannot figure it out.

Anyone have luck with dealership fixing the 360 camera issue? I took mine back after the CSP and they claim that it’s normal after the update. They did say they are opening a hotline ticket with ford for more info.

if you are referring to the small 360 camera view - I fixed it in 5 minutes with FORScan.

If you are referring to the front camera and 360 not coming up when approaching something, mine has been in the shop for the last 12 days and they cant figure it out.

Yessir. That's what mine looks like - no front camera activation.

Just adding to the pile: mine looks like that also.

It doesn't bother me that much since I almost always manually switch to the 360 view when parking in public or pulling into the garage, but still, it's something that had different behavior previously and appears to have been unintentionally changed by the IPMA update.

The FORScan fix is quite simple. Was my first time dabbling with it myself and it went smoothly. Lots of good guides posted, just need an OBDII reader. My el cheapo worked, the better quality ones will be much faster.

I get to join the group with camera envy. I just texted my service manager that the techs missed the step and asked when I should bring it back in. The two recalls only took them a week to get them installed. They didn’t want to install properly to start with.

FYI, if you have FORScan and the front camera not activating when you approach an object issue, this fix from rugedraw worked for me:

Took my truck in for this CSP update (24B56). Ford dealer said my truck would not take the update and they have called Ford support and are waiting to hear back from them. They said to come and get the truck and once they have direction from support they'll schedule me back in.
