I'm slightly embarrassed to have to ask this but am I right that the values in the far right column are the settings needed for the glare-free headlights?

I have tried and it doesn't work, it also disables auto headlights, glare free, and dynamic bending.

I'm assuming that we need some bits set elsewhere for it to work, probably from the camera module. Hopefully someday we can get those off of a foreign truck.

Ah same thing I found out after testing.
Next, I was looking at 734-01-01 and enabling DHL leveling and dynamic mode but unsure if this is working. I will need to wait for next night drive to see if it actually levels and has glare free enabled

Ah so it seems, too bad there is not a way to have the software find out the dependencies and report back what bits need to be flipped to enable certain options.

I know enough about software programming to be a problem, but not enough to actually do it.

If there was a way to collect lots and lots (and lots) of As Built files it would be possible to look for patterns in the data to try and determine just that.

I expect cross comparison would work between all Ford models, not just Lightnings or even trucks.

Agree... control modules are likely practically the same across Ford product lines.

I know that some are (were?) made by Research In Motion, the old Blackberry manufacturer.

FORScan will automatically calculate it for you. When you do a Write, it says the checksum doesn't match but if you click Continue it will do it for you.

It is the sum (in hex) of all the parameter values including the parameter (like 7D0-01-01). Round to two places.

Yes, it counts automatically for each line at the end, but this is a little different

The whole HCM module is complex. Livnitup has 4 different tabs for HCM depending on ICE and year!

I see what you're saying about the entire parameter being a CRC for the ICE truck. That's strange to me. CRC looks to be different than a two-byte checksum so have no idea. I suggest posting in the vehicle forum you're trying to modify. Or contact Livnitup. Sorry.

You can get a free two-month extended license as many times as you need to. I got one after the rules went into effect.

We don't know how exactly the HCM low/high CRC is calculated but on the ICE side we've noticed 3 factors that seem to determine those:
Short bed with scales / ccd or Raptor
Long bed no scales / ccd
Long bed with scales / ccd

I'm not sure if different on the Lightning or not but from vin comparisons on the 3 factors above we've seen 3 different low/high crc values.

By default it seems to be off with the 12" (shown on the Nav of the 12") and on with the 15" (not shown on the nav of the 15"). And some 12" trucks (XLT like mine) seem to have it on the dash and others do not. The data comes from the Nav system so should be an easy tweak just can't find it anywhere.

I don't think speed limit info is coming from the Nav. In my experience the display changes precisely when I pass the sign even when there is are temporary signs put up that day that Nav wouldn't know about.

Plus, where I drive, we have higher speed express lanes in the median. My display is constantly changing from 70 to 75 and back every time I pass an express lane sign or a main lane sign.

So I think speed limit comes from the forward camera. In fact the Flash is the first trim where speed sign recognition is mentioned as part of the Adaptive Cruise Control and the front-facing camera that goes along with it. The XLT does not have this hardware unfortunately.
