I happened to notice this morning that my 2022 Lightning Lariat ER has failed to connect to my home network, according to my Xfinity reports, it was last able to connect on 8/18/2025 which is a few days after my most recent OTA, so I can't blame it for the outage.

Ford F-150 Lightning WiFi failure to scan or connect: Fix post #12 1755719486709-as

I've checked the Connectivity control screen in SYNC, it's showing the function is turned on, but after scanning for available networks, it failed to show any networks, manually adding a hidden network also fails.

Toggled the feature off, then on again, did not resolve the problem.

Forced reboot of SYNC, failed to resolve the problem.

Looked at the Bezel Diagnostics screen [Volume down & Track search Left buttons],
Looked at the {CONNECTIVITY} section, all methods of connection are active EXCEPT Wifi, it is "Disconnected"

At the moment it's raining so I'll check fuses Thursday afternoon when the weather is clear.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

The only thing I can think of is I remember some having issues with connecting if their home wifi only has one SSID for both 5Ghz and 2.4GHz because I believe the Sync systems only connect over 2.4 and not all home wifi systems handle the negotiation very cleanly in those situations, and the Sync system itself doesn't do a great job if it gets a 5Ghz offer first.

I remember having issues with mine when I had it set to "Prefer 5G" in Unifi it would offer that first to my previous F-150 (2023 PowerBoost) and instead of the truck just negotiating for a 2.4, it just failed the connection.

My Lightning seems to be fine currently though. It's cool that Unifi identifies it as a Lightning automatically.

Also worth noting it doesn't stay connected all the time, but I think I have seen mine connect around once a day, so last connection being the 18th I agree seems a little off.

I'm planning to do that Thursday, I looked through the fuse list, nothing specifically for WiFi, so that will be the easiest action.

The last time my truck connected to my network (8/18) it was via 2.4 ghz.

Unfortunately the latest version of my DOCSIS modem no long allows me to disable one or the other bands.

Funny thing is that my truck isn't picking up any of my neighbors routers either, so I'm guessing the issue is with the truck, 10mm wrench will be the first step.

Accuracy is a pet peeve of mine. I grew up learning 2 is a couple, 3 is a few, etc. Living with OCD and being a perfectionist is a curse.
I'm as well, 18-15=3 == COUPLE in my mind but understand the precision of few being the more accurate word.

Your head would explode if you knew what the IRS' tolerance is on decision points to pursue compliance lapses.

After returning from coffee run this morning, I pulled the negative 12v connection, left off for ~30 minutes.

Reconnected, started the truck, turned on WiFi feature and SYNC connected to the house network.

Try pulling fuse 32 for a few minutes. That is the gateway (modem) fuse that will restart the modem and occasionally needs a restart after an update.

I'll try that if it fails again, reading through the service manual I got the impression the GWM-A was the module that handled WiFi, wasn't 100% stated as such. I've had bad luck pulling those fuses in the passenger foot well, dropped a couple into the abyss.

The 10 mm wrench to get every module at once and is the way.

While I agree a full reset is necessary sometimes, it isn't without a small amount of risk. Our trucks are a complex network of modules and communications. Simply pulling the plug can have unintended consequences if something is in progress when you do it. Timing is everything and the vast majority of the time, it works out ok. Sometimes it does not. For example, if you pull the 12v power at the wrong time during a module update, it can brick the module. If it is a critical module, it can brick the truck. Rare, but it does happen - then it is a trip to the dealer. I use it only as a last resort and only after giving the truck several hours to make very sure updates that may be in progress are complete or obviously hung after giving it several hours.

I do my best to avoid a cold system reboot (pull the 12v) as possible, no obvious updates were in progress, it was only a week ago now that I had an OTA, they tend to come 1+ month intervals, but there is that risk a couple could come in tight succession, with any being a silent install.
