So I did some more research and apparently the chargers I went to ARE the newest version, but they are apparently set up to allow Tesla vehicles only. Bummer.

As part of the "Power Promise", Ford set me up with an Emporia Classic Level 2 charger on a 60A two pole breaker. It operates at 48A and adds about 33 miles per hour to the truck.
You may want to verify your charge “miles added per hour”. With 60A/48A output charger the truck reports 10.7 kWh the battery accepts. To get 33 miles per hour your drive efficiency would need to be 3.0 mi/kwh.

When I charge on my 60A/48A “charger” I only get 23 Miles added per hour charged. (142 miles/6 hrs)

When I charge at my 50A/40A charger at my cabin i only get 19 miles for each hour on charger. ( 127 miles/. 6.6 hrs)

This is interesting. So how long does it take for your 48A charger to go from say, 15-90%?

@flyct My only guess is I'm starting at a higher SOC so the GOM doesn't calculate the same.

I finished the trip yesterday and didn't do 10-90%. I ended up going 21-90% which took 8 hours and 1 minute.
Also, I used google maps instead of ABRP. It worked pretty well except for not recommending charging stops. On the way up and the way back I had to set my own stops, which was fine. Maybe I've got a setting off in google? Anyway, it did precondition the battery which was very nice.
Finally, one odd thing in Birmingham using Tesla chargers. Some had signs at each charger saying "Tesla charging only." They worked on my Lightning and I used them anyway.

With these numbers your GOM estimates your full battery range at over 400 miles. Hard to believe.

22% added 89 miles
19% added 78 miles
(100/22 )*89=404 miles
(100/19)*78=410 miles

I don't know about you, but entering my third month of ownership, it seems fitting to call the GOM a GOM. A true "YMMV." Go figure.

I’m on my 2nd Lightning. My first was a 2023 Lariat ER. That GOM exaggerated the range. My current one is a 2024 Platinum. The range on the GOM of the 2024 Platinum is much more accurate.

I routinely drive a 125-mile trip between my house and cabin. When charged after the trip, at either end, the "miles added" as reported on the truck after charging is within 2 miles of actual.

Ford EPA range on the Lariat vs the Platinum is 320 vs 300 Miles. The Platinum is about 10% less efficient. The GOM estimates the total range of the Platinum between 240-260 depending on whether previous miles were local or highway. I get 2.0 mi/kw at 65 mph. Doing the math 2.0mi/kw X 131 kWh = 262 miles.

Another factor is what the EVSE charger reports were delivered and what the truck reports that it accepted is 7% different, due to losses. For example, my “charger” would report is sent 63 kW to the truck and the truck reports 58 kW received.
