Maybe A2Z realizes that they will only sell a very few of them since so few cars use CHAdeMO any more that the development cost can only be spread amongst a very few sales.

There’s a couple locations that have started in the DFW area, the Sam’s Club I go to will have one in the Supercenter parking lot right next to it.

Here is a post that didn't age well... at this point I believe that dozens of Walmart charging locations are either open or under construction, and scores more in permit processes. It is VERY real.

By the way, I've been using the DCFC charging at the Springdale (AR) SuperStore for at least two years (it has been free as a test site), so the Walmart EV charging project hasn't been vaporware for quite a while. I also offer kudos to their team. They have gone through a couple MAJOR revisions at Springdale (which is near their HQ) in an effort to assess different layouts and charging equipment combinations. Walmart has a very good handle on its customers and its EV charging sites reflect that with truck-friendly stalls and pull-through spaces. They also tend to be closer to the front door than the EA chargers on leased land in their parking lots.

Hmmmm I think there's just an ever so small bit of an exaggeration in your quotation of "dozens"... where I'm from a dozen is 12, or 13 if you're a baker.

I will concede the roll out has started so there is a positive and it is to be applauded. Kudos for pointing this out in relation to my quote.

Here is a capture from the Walmart official site I took just now detailing the currently available sites and the roll out plan just so there's no confusion. A whopping three States have one or more! unfortunately for me I don't reside in any of the listed States.

Washington by the suburbs of Seattle are getting two Walmarts setup with chargers. Puyallup and Renton. Permit only stage so far.

Nope, they're definitely moving ahead.

Still shows zero in Michigan even in the planning stage, same with Ionna's network when I checked a week ago. I can make do with what is available, but it would help to have a few more options.

They're talking low prices, but several of the ones I've checked have equal or higher prices than those in the area, notably SC's.

There are a lot of them under construction. When I last checked (October 2025) there weren't hardly any.
