Software still sucks. Why is there no, "Dog Mode". It would be simple to do. You should have as a goal 100% of the functionality that is in a Tesla. That should be your goal.

Also, the Ford Navigation app is terrible at -- wait for it -- navigation! E.G. The path for the road for my cottage in Maine was changed back when JFK was president. Ford Navigation still shows the old path (which is now a pine forest!).

Ford should use Waze as your benchmark when developing your Navigation app. I use Waze for Navigation and the Tesla app for charging. Both are "best in class".

Well, Brian,
I think the reason why you got such a large response for this Q2 survey, is the shut down of the Lightning line is finally sinking in.
Q1 was disbelief, Q2 is damn what are we gonna do now/ how are we going to go forward (i.e will parts availability drop off in 5 years, will update become fewer and farther between, etc.)
So were kinda circling the wagons, I feel like Ford has abandoned us, (WE) the folks who know how awesome these trucks are I feel like we need to rely on each other here, more than what Ford will be doing for us.
4 or 5 years of a product line, no wonder why Ford lost it's shirt on this...|
But . . . thank you for hanging in with us, Brian, not AI.
I do appreciate it!

For the love of god please fix pro power onboard by removing the min draw requirement! We need a camp mode!!! Come on Brian!!
I'll code it myself tonight!

EDIT: In case the software team sees this, this is a joke.

I’d really like Ford to fix the mistake they made on an OTA last year that causes the truck to come out of Sport Mode—even when you say OK to Sport Mode upon start up.

If we are talking modes, bring “slippery” mode to all years!!!

Hi F-150 Lightning owners (I'm still workshopping a better name for y'all 😄),

First off, thank you. Seriously. Everyone who took the time to complete the Q1 survey helped provide incredibly useful insight. Sorry it has taken me longer to synthesize this information, I asked more of you this time + more responded and that = a happy but busy Brian.

This data isn't just for me. It goes to teams across Ford who care about your F-150 Lightning experience and want to understand how we can show up for you in the forum. I wanted to close the loop and share a few interesting, encouraging, and genuinely cool takeaways from the results.

Here are some of the things we learned

You Are All Incredibly Engaged
We had the highest response numbers to our forum survey than ever before. Thank you! A big theme that came through clearly is that this forum isn't just a casual stop for most of you – many visiting once a day. You are here to stay current on news, learn from each other, and figure out how to get the absolute most out of your trucks.

You Genuinely Love the Truck for Real-World Reasons
Across the responses, you consistently described your Lightnings as quiet, powerful, and genuinely fun to drive. You also highlighted how practical the truck is for your daily lives.

You Want to Learn More About Ford and Your Trucks
One of the most encouraging signals for me personally is that you are not asking for hype. You are asking for understanding and deeper details.

You Have Built an Amazing Community
Finally, one thing that really stood out is that many of you pointed to the community itself as a core reason you keep coming back. You are helping people, sharing workarounds, posting deep dives, and offering reassurance. That kind of owner-to-owner support is rare and genuinely valuable.

What does this mean for us at Ford and me in this forum?
  • I will share this survey information with teams at Ford (software, product development, etc.) to help inform their work.
  • I will aim to provide more technical "how it works" content. I have a few ideas brewing below.
  • While I cannot always avoid the "Soon™" answers, please know that it is usually code for "I can’t officially tell you the exact date right now."
  • I will push for more closure on issues, and admittedly this can be hard at times to juggle among other things (with many folks behind the scenes helping).

Based on all this, I want to lean harder into content that is useful and interesting for you this year. Here is what I heard, and feel free to add more as a reply to this thread:
  • Technology deep-dives (eg. battery tech, power delivery, regen logic, and braking behavior)
  • Owner tips and spotlighting lesser-known features
  • Structured AMAs (Brian note: with rules to keep things productive)
  • Educational content to help with new-to-EV folks
  • Skunkworks / advanced EV development explanations

Drop your thoughts below. I’m taking the info from the survey results and discussions below, and building a “content plan” throughout this year - hoping I can make them happen.

Thanks again for being such a thoughtful and engaged group. And yes, I saw the appreciation for my presence here that came through in the survey too. It genuinely means a lot.

This doesn’t relate exactly to the survey but I’ve received emails from Ford relating to their EV Rewards program. They partner with local utilities to monitor charging and the utility provides a credit. Arizona Power has such a program but Ford is not on the list. I’ve contacted both Ford and Arizona Power and both point the finger at the other. How does a program get initiated in Arizona if neither is willing to talk to the other.

New here and missed the initial part but will be following along and hoping to learn more about the truck. I am saddened that it has been discontinued but if I get 4-5 years out of it I will be looking for then next BEV maybe from Ford. Always love new features that allow us to utilize our Trucks better.

Camp mode should mean all exterior white lights should be able to be turned off while pro power and climate still work. Hard to see the stars when the exterior lights come on when opening a door.

All cameras should be recording to SSD.

And I get those emails for a utility that doesn't service my house. Unfortunately, the one that does, doesn't offer much after the $500 rebate on a charger & installation -- $10/mo credit for 1 year.

You can print the manual from a computer or you can buy one already printed or just use the searchable electronic one via the app. Considering most people never even break the plastic bag they use to come in, seems illogical for them to include it in printed form. Not to mention they revise them all the time, mine already has a newer version than what it would have came with and they won't send out reprints regardless.
