Interior Lights ON Switch?

I tried checking online and looked through some buttons on top but can't seem to find out how (if even possible).

For my 6 year old to put on his seat belt in the dark, my daughter on the OTHER side has to turn on her light. Well tonight, was just me and him. I had to bend around to turn that rear overhead light on for him. Is there a switch / button / control somewhere up front to turn ALL the interior lights on until he gets it buckled? Then I can flip it back off?

In older cars it was typically the dial to adjust the dashboard lights. If you turned it all the way on, it would have a final 'click' to turn them on. I have buttons for that now and it doesn't seem to do anything. Online, it mentioned going into the SYNC system settings and there was an option to turn on but I didn't even see 'Settings' like it mentioned.

So just curious if there is a way to flip them all on until I do not need them anymore and can flip them off.

That's one thing I hate about the truck. The interior lighting sucks.

Btw, there are buttons near the visor area but I'm sure someone will post up the user manual pics soon.

Mine is by the glasses holder at the top, and yes, the lighting is terrible even with them all on.

Next to the drivers overhead light on the overhead console, there are two button switches. One turned on just the drivers light and the other turns on all the lights. Agree, it's pretty anemic...

Agree lighting could be better and no large central dome light on ours that have a moonroof. (Not sure if they even have a dome light on non-moonroof).

But if it’s a full moon, you can open the moonroof cover for light!

(In my 1st week of ownership I had the cover open. Got into the truck one night and thought “Crap I left the dome light on”. Reached back for the non-existent dome light switch and realized I was directly under a parking lot lamp.)

Probably easiest to just open the driver's door to illuminate the cabin until your child is buckled. I agree that even with all of the cabin lights on, is still pretty dark.

Check out F150 LEDs for replacement bulbs with many more lumens. And pretty colors, if you’re into that.

Unless you have Silent (Dark) mod enabled in which case the interior lights do not come on when you open the door.

There is a setting that you can have the interior lights turn on when the doors are open or you can have them stay off when open. I was looking for something in the back seat last month and I noticed that the lights didn't turn on when the door was open. I had to research and find out that I must have accidently toggled that feature off. I didn't know that we had the option.

I don't remember which one, but the overhead console button controlled that in mine.

You’re telling me the flash trim doesn’t have a button that turns on all the interior lights? I have a lariat and there’s a button that turns on the driver side light and just forward of that there’s a button that turns on all the lights. This seems to be a pretty basic feature of all modern vehicles.

I think you were replying to my comment about no big center light on my Flash. Yes, the Flash has the light switches you mentioned, but there is no big center light in the middle of the roof. The same lights and switches you described.

No I was asking the OP. it seems as though he doesn’t have the button that turns them all on. People then agreed with him and it seemed the Flash trim was the common denominator.

This worked perfectly. I thought it only had one button on each side (passenger/driver) but looks to be multi use (two buttons on my side). Was able to turn them all on for him while he got his seat belt on. Appreciate it!
