You're the highest home energy user in the thread.

Wow. You got almost twice the home charging at a third less my electricity cost. And your gas is about twice what it is here now, $2/gal. Before the solar power discount, I'm about 20% lower cost than gas. You have about 3x the difference in electricity/gas rates ratio than near me.

Speed CaseEfficiencyEnergy CostCost/mileEnergy CostCost/mile
Hwy:75 mph20 mpg$4/gal$0.200$2/gal$0.100
Hwy:75 mph1.91 mi/kWh$0.155/kWh$0.081$0.104/kWh$0.054
Yeah, I do a lot of driving.

State policies have spiked our gas prices in the past 2 years or so, and WA was already difficult to afford. Thankfully electricity is relatively affordable, but again, state policy makers are doing their best to make that go away as well. I'll enjoy it while I can.

Where I am, solar would be plentiful in the summer. Winter, not so much. With our electricity prices however, the ROI doesn't add up and this isn't my "forever home" so no solar for now.

This also got me curious about my usage in the last year though I didn't get my EVSE installed until April 2025 so I'm missing Q1. Despite that, I dispensed 9,226kWh between April to December 2025 with an average monthly electric bill increase of $200/mo (CAD) year-over-year, including the cost of charging my wife's Q6, and having driven approximately 30,000km. That works out to about $0.06/km based on my lazy math. Would be lower if I took the time to deduct out the wife's charging costs, but oh well. That's far more preferable than the $1.25/L average fuel price posted in my area. Comparable ICE, using approx 11 L/100km (20mpg as above), 30,000km, and 135L tankgive a cost of $0.14/km. I've, maybe, DCFCed 5 times in 2025.

I don't regret getting this truck, and converting my household to BEV, at all and would do it sooner if I could have.

I have a spreadsheet of every charge session since I bought my 24 Flash on 24 February of 2025 - 314 days ago. As of my last charge session late evening on 2 January, I have 15499 miles on the odometer (has 27 miles when I bought it). I have used 6,733.1 KWH for a total cost of $1,315.99. Average cost per KWH is 19.55 cents or 8.50 cents per mile.

I have done 203 charge sessions that varied from 1.2 KWH up to 105 KWH. Of those, 81 were at home, 88 were free, and 33 were DCFC. This is southern California so my home electricity costs me about 30 cents / KWH to my FCSP during off peak rates (when essentially all my home charging is done).

2025 F150 Lightning Flash 131kWh
Purchased my 2025 Lightning late April 2025.
2025 miles driven: 12,076 (~2,500 miles DCFC)
Utility rate: $0.085kWh (basically double this rate to account for utility distribution and maintenance fees)

No solar yet due to low utility rate and being located in Cleveland, Ohio. Waiting for price/efficiency to improve on solar installations post tax credit. I want to do it, but I also want it to make financial sense. The perfect scenario for me would be a solar system with small battery backup that can utilize the truck for longer term energy backup and evening power offset.

5,262kWh in home charging with $729 in costs according to the ChargePoint app which claims it has a live cost from DelMarVa power.

12,950 miles in the past year, but 2500 of them are probably road trips where I DC charged.

2023 Pro bought Jan 2024; FCSP installed June 2024, but not connected to Ford Pass until a software update in 2024.

For some reason, the FCSP is not displaying the Jan and Feb 2025 energy data, although I recorded it in a spread sheet at the time so added it at the bottom of the image for a 2025 total of approx. 870kWh and a cost of about 13.7 cents per kWh on average, so about $119.20 cost for the year, 1772.1 miles traveled, so about 6.7 cents per mile energy cost.

BTW, 870kWh @ 240V = about 8.1432 x 10^25 electrons moved around! But who's counting?

Obviously - you!
Only an engineer would do that math...
LOL

Those electrons are a busy bunch...a few of them flow around my brain now and then too!

If anybody else is curious about how many electrons they corralled and rounded up, the conversion works out to: 1kWh @ 240V = about 9.36 x 10^22 electrons

6800 kWh for my lightning. Not bad considering I was unemployed for a month and took another month off when my daughter was born. My poor little 5.9 kW solar array can’t even cover half our usage with 2 EV’s.

Kegerator! LOL!
I miss making homebrew.
Learn something new every day!

A kegerator is a refrigerated appliance, essentially a specialized fridge, designed to store and dispense beverages from kegs, most commonly draft beer, keeping them cold and carbonated using a CO2 or nitrogen tank to push the liquid out through a tap. It's a portmanteau of "keg" and "refrigerator" and allows people to enjoy draft beverages at home, but it can also be used for cold brew coffee, wine, or kombucha.

My usage is a bit complicated -
10,318 miles and $598.99 for 2025
Average cost per mile is $0.0581.

Here's my breakdown:

Average 1.97 mi/kW
5,327 kW total
367 kW DCFC @ average $0.486 / kW =
$178.36 (GM network $0.60, Tesla
network @ $0.46 and
Chargepoint @ $0.43)
3,365 kW @ $0.125 = $420.63 MLGW
1,525 kW @ $0.00 / kW (Solar Panels)
70 kW @ $ 0.00 / kW (dealer free power)

My GrizzlE outpaces my Solar system, so I cannot use more free energy unless I break up my charging sessions.

OK. Now the OP needs to put all this into a table or spread sheet, eh?

We now have two BEVs (she still drives her Outback). I have no idea on the actual cost other than the fact that my wife said that there has been no material change in the electric bill since the year before we got the Lightning in July 2022 (our first BEV).
