2022 Ford F150 Lightning Lariat ER
My Lightning just turned over 100,000 miles yesterday.

I’m the second owner of this truck(Apr. 2024 purchase) but over 94k miles are mine.
The original Grabber tires almost made it to 57k. I replaced them with Michelin Defenders and have at least 30k more miles of tread on these tires.

I replaced my 12v battery at 88k. I did it myself and didn’t have a problem resetting the BCM. I’ve gotten software updates since so I figure I did right.

I don’t have access to a scanner but really don’t care about degradation(ignorance is bliss, sometimes, right?). I haven’t noticed any difference in range or performance of the truck.

I supercharge exclusively at Tesla chargers and stop frequently as I try not to let my battery drop below 30%. I try my best to only add 30 to 40 percent at a time at superchargers as well.

My biggest complaint is the software updates. Still waiting on B.C. 1.4. It’s supposed to be my next update but I haven’t gotten it yet or anything for that matter.

This is the best truck I’ll own in my lifetime and I want to make it last as long as possible.

Here’s to the next 100k!

Wow, congratulations, I’m (23 XLT ER) only at 53k and my Goodyear tires will probably make it to 70k.

What was the indicator that told to replace the 12v battery? And what did you do after installing the battery?

I’ll soon be retired at 56K with our ER Lariat & thoroughly enjoy driving it. Glad you had minimal issues in the 1st 100k! Thanks for the report!

@TwentyTwentyThree I’ve also experienced starting the truck and having no power to the front motor but shutting it off for a few minutes makes that disappear. It hasn’t happened in at least 40k miles.
.

@Joe Dablock All of the chimes will change to a distorted pitch and the screen would say “shutting off to conserve battery” or something along those lines.
I followed the instructions on this site for resetting the BCM. I can’t remember exactly what you do other than some fancy foot work on the brake pedal. Sorry, between work and kids that info left my brain quickly after I did it.

Maybe Ford stopped making this truck because they realized it would last too long.
I honestly think that’s why the dealers hate these trucks… I had to beg my dealer to sell it to me. I just wonder how many dealers played a part in these not moving off the lot.

Cheers to the OP, that’s great news for the rest of us! 🍻

70k miles, I charged to 100% today because I have a long way to go. I normally charge to 90% or 80% depending on the day. I got my Lariat in October 2022. The specs were 331 miles on a full charge. Not bad in my opinion to only lose 20 miles of range in 3+ years and 70k miles. My brother is at line 130k miles and running great still.

glade to hear all this. I'm planning on this being the last vehicle I'll ever own (as long as I'm still limber enough to get into it!) . I have no worries as I'll never use BC!

Don't put much into the range showing on the GOM. It's dependent on weather, terrain, and your destination (if your trip was entered) Summertime I show 270 at 85%,, winter time only 230.
