I’m sure my frequent DCFC sessions have a penalty
5% SOH loss in 100,000 miles is insignificant to me. If it were an iPhone, you could get a battery replacement at 400,000 miles based upon their 80% threshold. Imagine the "SOH" loss in a gas-burner at 100,000 miles.

From my limited research, I’m at the “upper end” of SOH losses but I agree, at this point I should be at over 200k miles before I get to 90% SOH with all variables being roughly equal. Not too shabby

2022 Lariat in Antimatter Blue purchased 4/1/23 very lightly used
44,794 mi
Main road trip vehicle still to this day, FC has only gotten better and I don't even plan for it anymore (use the GMaps EV routing tool extensively)
Mostly charge at home to 90% about once a week using the FCSP
Will use till the wheels fall off, frame rusts and collapses, assume the battery will outlast all the rest
Best vehicle I've ever owned!

...Wanted to know how our aging fleet is holding up?! I personally am finding that yet again people’s fears of these amazing trucks early demise is unfounded ( there will be exceptions with some issues and module failures reported) gotta keep in mind that all manufacturers seem to have issues
while I enjoy your same appreciation for this great vehicle, I don't really care about "aging fleet" and "peoples fears" and terms like "early demise", as they have no bearing on my and my truck, my EV, my vehicle - it just works. Perfectly.

yes, all manufacturers will have 'troubles' from time to time, and that's what warranties are for, but it doesn't diminish the usage and practicality of these amazing machines.

For those who have never owned one, driven one, traveled with one, or had one parked quietly in their garage for many years, like mine, don't truly understand. But, whether they do or not, or whether Ford continues to build them, does not diminish my enjoyment.

Black 25 Lariat leased 4 yrs. in Sept 25, 10k miles.
I don’t know what soh means or dcfc, but I never installed the charger at home, I drive it to work, charge it daily to 85% for free, and I work almost every day, so it stays charged. Every now and then I let it run down to 25ish% to help with battery life. I’ve replaced my shifter and had two recalls and a busted rear glass replaced. I love the truck, my only regret is not getting the larger inverter. Plan on buying out in 4 years when lease is up, as the balance is 40k. Looking to du some customization but having trouble finding places that sell parts that are guaranteed to fit… I recommend the truck to anyone who asks!

Ford F-150 Lightning How are we holding up? flash-mem

2024 Flash, closing in on 14k miles. I've taken a few trips as my daily commute is pretty short, so maybe 90% L2 charging, 10% DCFC? I was charging to 85% at home, but recently changed it to 90%. I do this once a week, sometimes twice. I don't know any health details as I don't have anything to scan or whatever.
I'm still kind of annoyed Ford changed their original plan of 25k Lightnings a year, because they would still be making it. I really do like the truck and am so glad I purchase it. I suspect in 5 or so years I'll replace it with a Cybertruck or Scout. If Ford was still making the Lightning I would drive it much longer.

2023 ER Larat, bought new in May 2023. I charge to 90% every night, and to 100% before road trips, I take about 4000 miles of road trips (and fast charging) a year. Overall, 50,000 miles, battery 99% state of health. Lifetime efficiency has been 2.3 mi/kWh.

Recalls aside, the only issue has been a drivers' side curtain airbag fault.

bought used at 12k miles in late 2024.

now at 19k miles, 99.5% SOH, mostly L2 charging to 95-100% once a week.

road trip DCFC back to 80% a 2-3 times per quarter.

The whole range anxiety thing is lame…
You’re right. I never had range anxiety in the 2 years that I drove mine. Just range disappointment. I tried, but you just can’t do the trips I do with a Lightning, even if you want to add the time it would take, if there were a functioning charger within 30 miles of my routes. Now I can refill in 5 minutes and be on my way anywhere.

Range anxiety is simply due to a lack of knowledge and / or a lack of planning. If due to a lack of knowledge, then educate yourself. If due to a lack of planning, then plan your trips. This reminds me of "The 7 P's" I learned for Engineering and Construction projects ... Prior Proper Planning Prevents P*ss Poor Performance. Own it.

I've done multiple trips with the Lightning, but maybe it's a bit different here on the East Coast. I'm also not as young as I used to be where I would drive until I ended up sleeping at a Rest Area for a couple hours. When I had an ICE vehicle I would only drive about 8-10hrs a day before wanting to stop. This was my most recent trip https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/se-fl-western-nc-charleston-sc-se-fl.31366/

I appreciate that you understand that some people's driving conditions, infrastructure, and tolerance for adding over an hour to a six hour trip are different than yours. Planning is fine. Planning to miss events because you have to make out-of-the-way charging stops at unreliable stations is not okay. That was my life. I once spent 3 hours with my 75 year old mother-in-law trying to charge at the only two stations on I-10 between my daughter's house and home. Finally sold the truck when it said I had 10% charge 10 miles from home, then died 3 miles from home. (Extended Range)

That said, the infrastructure is a little better than it was. I miss the truck in town. Open roads in Texas at 75 are not good for range. YMMV!
