Seeing all these built notifications I pinged the Ford chat folks again. Not good news. "Sent Offsite Rouge Electric Vehicle Center (revc), MI Jan-17-2023. Micro chip hold. Expected micro chip ETA 1/24-1/30." Just when I thought I was out of the woods!

Max Tow and Spray in bedliner. Added Tow Tech once I was scheduled (11/29/22), which showed up in the updated DORA, but not in the window sticker. Would be sweet if the chip hold is the fancy 360 camera's in the Tow Tech. That would be worth the wait.

I wonder if those on a chip hold all have the Tow Tech package. I just had max tow and the pro power 9.6kw

I had the Tow Tech Package and was told by Ford Support a couple of days ago I did not have a chip hold. That may have changed once I call this evening!

Maybe the spray in liner? The first Ford chat I had they told me there were no holds, today they told me there was. Seems like it might depend on the skill level of the person on the other side. Apparently your dealer should be able to access detailed info, but my rep is out till the 26th (hence my pestering the Ford chat folks).

Long as it is signed/sealed/delivered in time to get the full tax credit I'll be stoked!

Decided to call my dealer to get the inevitable over with in regards to price protection. He was able to find the 7k off pretty easy, but then told me "lightnings aren't price protected" I shared with him I believe they are but didn't feel like arguing over the phone about it. I'll email him the memos that say I shouldn't be affected and see where it goes. I knew it was going to be a battle when he saw my msrp was $60k and he said "wow that's the cheapest one I've seen!" Here we go...?

He was able to find the 7k off pretty easy, but then told me "lightnings aren't price protected" I shared with him I believe they are but didn't feel like arguing over the phone about it. I'll email him the memos that say I shouldn't be affected and see where it goes. I knew it was going to be a battle when he saw my msrp was $60k and he said "wow that's the cheapest one I've seen!" Yeah, no dealer is gonna be happy having to give the customer a sought after vehicle at the price they ordered at. Luckily Ford is very clear that you are price protected against model year price increases after the date you ordered.

Happy to send you the details I got from my rep at Casco Bay Ford. She confirmed to me in writing that both the private offer (from MY 22 to MY 23) and price protection (against MY 23 price increases) would be applied.

@EVMainer If it's not too much trouble I would love to have that info too. Like just about everyone else here I'm expecting the worst when it comes to getting $16K off of the current sticker price on my Pro. Or at least getting it without a fight.
On a happier note, it looks like with any luck I'll be seeing "built" status soon. January 15 blend date, January 17 in production date. And I'm only about 300 miles from Dearborn, so maybe if I'm lucky not too long to get it to the dealer.

Yes, same here. I hear these Lightnings are not making these dealers much money and I would like to go in informed and not get slapped around. Thanks.

I see loan rates of 4.5 to 5% for conventional loans for 72 months. Does anyone know the current Ford Options Plan rate? ?‍

Ok. I just got info on my Lariat.

The vehicle has been received
by a carrier at a ramp location
(Ramp 51, Flat Rock, MI) with
an ETA between 1/24- 1/30.

Does is sound like my chip hold is over, or is this a place where chip hold trucks sit and wait for chip installation? With and ETA of Jan 30, I'm guessing the chip is already in and about to be shipped. My dealer is near downtown Cleveland Ohio so it's not a long trip. My status still says "IN PRODUCTION"

Another question... From Flat Rock MI, my truck is only 148 miles from my dealer. Do you think that they would bother loading it to rail to Cleveland or would it just ship on a car transporter?
