It seems I may have more workshop manual corrections to submit. Not too shocking. Thanks for the info.

Tried it again locked the truck with fob, walked away and came back. Verified locks visually down and then went up to press the button on the frunk. Frunk opened, verified doors were locked, closed front using button on frunk, verified doors were still locked. Put my hand on the handle and the doors unlocked.

Took a video incase it might be of help to you, but was not able to upload it. If you need it let me know and I'll figure out how to send it.

So sounds like I have a bad passive sensor on the frunk? Or maybe there is an errant setting?

I am not sure. The workshop manual does not state there is a passive receiver in the frunk area. I am not sure the books or wiring diagram have this right. I'll try to get some more information tomorrow. Here are the relevant pages from our workshop manual.

I know you said you were able to activate the tail with the key in your pocket, but how about the door locks? If it does then it might be something with the frunk switch or maybe software related which is causing the BCM to not recognize the key when you push the frunk button while locked. Per @Ford Senior Master ‘s above post when the doors are locked the truck is looking for the fob and won’t open it unless it finds it.

I am able to open the tailgate with the truck locked and the doors will unlock and lock with the handle. The frunk will not operate with the release button if the doors are locked, it works fine if the doors are unlocked. I can open the frunk with the key fob button though.

The answer is to be a Pro owner. It always doesn’t work ?
I actually went out and tried it anyway earlier today. The logic was, well it's not supposed to work for him either. So...maybe? Just wishful thinking

Found this, perhaps this is the issue:

Does anyone else have what feels like driveline slack on their truck?

I have it in 1-pedal drive and Ford's software seems a bit indecisive. That seems to be translating into an odd feeling. It feels like driveline slack, or how a transmission delay would feel in an ICE vehicle. At a creep, it rolls but fights itself in wanting to brake then almost clunks as it frees up again.

The same happens when easing off to a stop but if the light turns green before Im full stop it will once again clunk and a very minor lurch/hesitation before acceleration again.

I'm going to turn off 1-pedal tomorrow to see if it persists, but figured I'd post it here to see if anyone else notices it.

I figured it was me learning the “sweet spot” in 1PD, but I’ve noticed it too.

My first EV, so certainly my first 1PD experience.

If there is a sweet spot, I haven’t found it yet. But I haven’t had this in any of my Teslas.

Pretty sure it’s Ford tuning. That little hitch has been noted in various reviews be it the Mach E or Lightning.
The tuning is what I’m thinking too. On the one hand it mimics an ICE for transition. On the other..it interrupts what’s otherwise a really smooth drive. I hope they tune it out

Yes - very noticeable and concerning. So different than both Tesla's we've owned too. Just shouldn't feel like that. It has been noted in a couple of different threads. There is also another thread with a ticking from the rear end that some have confused, these are not the same problem.
