2022: How do i check update level?

I just bought my 2022 Lightning over the weekend, on my way home driving, i stopped at 2 different EA Chargers, i noticed at both my charging only peaked to 113kw and stayed there until 80%. I thought 150kw was the default and there was possibly an update that pushed it to 180???? When i check the Ford Pass app it says there are no updates available, just unsure where i am on the update levels.

I tried to get the selling dealership to update it before my arrival, but they said they didn't currently have a EV certified tech working this past weekend, i would have had to schedule it and i was a few hundred miles away, so just bought it and drove it home.

With a Bluetooth OBD dongle you could see what the truck was asking for and what the charger was capable of supplying. Could be the EA Charger was the issue. Not uncommon. You should have the ability to get 150 kW out of the box with original firmware. But again, the charger will not automatically give you that.

The update just optimized the charge curve and did not increase the max available. A lot of stations claim to be faster than they are and because the lightning runs 350v, it's amperage limited and usually will only get 120kwh. There's lots of other factors at play but your experience is normal.

What were the chargers rated at? The kw rating of the charger will only be met with voltage architectures higher than our Lightnings, running at maximum amperage. Our 400-volt architecture will only get us a percentage of the charger capabilities. On a 150kw charger, I can get as high as 134kw on my 2023, but it's not uncommon for it to hover around 115kw. I've gotten over 180kw for a while on Tesla's 250kw chargers. Our Shell chargers here are rated for 180kw, and I have only seen 76kw on those.
