A(nother) Tailgate Mod Thread

I know it's been done multiple times, but I can't help but show how I made my truck more unique to me.

Standard looking rear of a black Lariat...

Most of the changes were things I found on either Etsy or Amazon. Not expensive at all. I really thought the lightning bolt type license plate frame would be a bit too 'on-the-nose', but it wasn't... I think it looks great.

I did have to lose the half Lightning Bolt / half Flag badge to do what I did, but I figured adding back the bigger blue bolt for the trailer hitch plug made up for it.

Overall, as far as the back goes, I am pretty damn happy with it. Going to look into blacking out the light bars (front and rear) next. I have the $200 kit from Lamin-X, but I want to talk to my local shop to see if they have any films that have more of a gloss finish/look... ones that aren't super expensive anyway.

I did the black out flag in the sliding rear window, and I have a Veteran plate (waiting for it to transfer to this vehicle) with the flag so doing a flag within the F-150 on the tailgate would've been too much.

Yeaaaah... sadly, I made the mods I wanted to make on my truck, not the mods you want to make on your truck.

Trims that have the light bar have the Ford badge in the corner. Trims that do not have the light bar have the larger Ford badge in the centre of the tailgate like the ICE F-150s.

Yes. I am not an expert, but I'd say for the trim levels with the light bar, the big blue oval in the center becomes a smaller blue oval off to the driver's side.
