Ad-Blocking Countermeasure on Forums (Aggressive)

Not trying to debate ad-supported revenue sites vs user blocking tactics but today, the blocking mechanism is very aggressive. A full browser page overtakes the screen (still shows original URL on top bar but all grayed out).

First time I've seen this, so assuming this is a recent change and deployed on all the associated-forums.

Not you. Happened to me on my iPad a day or two ago. Fixed itself shortly after.

I'm having trouble lately with a new window opening up in chrome some of the times when I click on a link at this forum. Anyone have this issue and is there a fix? Thanks.
