It is confusing because in the first sentence it says that the epb will be applied automatically, not that we have to set it manually.
Maybe they mean if that fault occurs the epb will automatically engage. That sentence is after they say “If this condition occurs”. Of course if that were true then there wouldn’t be a risk of rolling. I’m convinced that no one at Ford ever reviews anything they send out.

"Should" should have been said instead of "Will" until they fix the logic

So does the pawl and the e-brake both apply to the rear wheel(s) only? If so, I can see why the truck might still slip on ice since 2-3 of the 4 wheels can still rotate. Unless I’m missing something.
