If it does increase every year as you say it must only be by pennies because I bought the exact same esp this month as I did back in 2013 for my other truck and it was almost the exact same price for the same coverage.

I didn't buy from y'all though as you're more expensive than where I got it, yes a genuine Ford ESP.

Smart move. I accidentally entered the wrong VIN when I bought mine from Granger with 12k miles. Noticed a year later and tried to get it corrected. Was told I'd have to cancel and then pay full price for the current year (about $800 more). Said no thanks, I'll take a refund. Despite still being under 36k so I'm still inside the factory warranty, Granger prorated the refund since I'd had it for a year and I lost several hundred. I'm very bitter about that. I could understand if it was active outside the factory warranty, but losing value on a ESP while under 36k/3yr is stupid.

Lesson learned, not worth buying until you are 100% certain you are keeping it. Also, DOUBLE CHECK the VIN!!!

I don't quite understand the grid with all of the pricing... it doesn't show what each grid (price) entails as far as the coverage the prices represents. What is a common plan that you guys are buying?

That grid is kinda misleading.

Along the top of the grid there are tabs for the "Plan". You pick that, then the grid is MILEAGE on one axis and Number of Years on the other. The intersection of these two is the price for that combination.

Descriptions of what each "Plan" includes is found at the link at the top of page --> " Extended Service Plans".

Ok, that makes sense. I was at the gym in between sets when I was looking at it for less than a minute.

Thanks for this. 😎

In another thread on here, we see members that have the premium care plan WITH lighting coverage, are being denied rear LED lightbar replacements as not covered.

can anyone confirm if this is legitimately not covered even tho the brochure says it is?

this ruins my warranty for me if true, covering all the expensive LED lights on my truck was the big selling I know how expensive they are to replace.

We really need a clear answer about this, @Ford Motor Company @Granger Ford
What is the point of adding LED light coverage if it doesn't cover the LED lights?

These issues seem to be a black hole:

(a) those that have either previously had light bars replaced under warranty once but are now denied - or denied initially

(b) the ability (or lack thereof) to understand if the extra LED coverage portion of the entended warranty covers this.

Unfortunately, I have yet to experience the problem, but had considered that "feature/peace of mind" if purchasing an extended warranty.

A class action for those that have been affected may be needed to get the attention of Ford. I'm not a proactive lawsuit searching kind of individual...but this one seems nuts (prices of replacement for owners seem out of control).

I am watching this closely. My policy seems straight forward:

Additional Coverage:

Lighting Coverage: Repair or replace bulbs, HID headlamps, and LED assemblies for electrical failures.

Please keep us posted about the status of your issues, it seems the light bars are without question covered for issues described.

I'm not a Ford rep and the last time I worked for them, 11 years as a dealer line tech, ceased in 2004. I can share my experience on this, "If the led or it's support circuitry malfunctions electronically, it's covered. If the failure is a result of excess moisture (water) sloshing around in the housing, it is not covered."

Best advice they would give us was to drill two small holes in the bottom/rear most points of the affected housing to allow moisture build up from atmospheric conditions to drain out before it pools, the housing was only covered if there was pooling, moisture beads did not count as a warrantable item. Wrap your head around that for a min and if you figure it out, let me know lol.

Take it with a grain of salt and 21 year old policy.

Everything I've read about my personal Ford ESP purchase with LED coverage says all of it should be covered regardless.

100% believable. Although a bit sad if the reason the water got in there to begin with was a manufacturing flaw (which was the original recall). I had mine swapped out as part of the recall and have seen some water droplets in there after a monsoon rain not long ago, but seems to have since dried out. Is that normal? I don't typically pay close attention to it.

Recalls are a different animal entirely. Moisture can evaporate under the correct atmospheric conditions.
