Braking indication

I wonder what our EV motorcycle riders think of this point of view, I know we have a couple on the forum.

That's an interesting question! It's also hard to imagine riding an EV motorcycle, at least for me. I have a Honda VTX1800R with 2-1 Sideburners, so it's pretty loud. I can only imagine that the acceleration would be AMAZING, but boy, would that be weird to be riding so silently! And I'd be worried about cars having an easier time not being aware I'm there.

I would really like a light that indicates when the brake pads are in use. I realize that the braking monitor is a good indicator of not using the pads but I'd like to know more.

Brake lights will illuminate, I don't need a dash indicator for that. But let me know when I'm pushing the brake pedal too hard and the brake pads are kicking in. Long live brake pad life!

My assumption is that if the green charge measure doesn't touch the end of its space, the pads aren't used. This seems to equate exactly with the brake coach indicating 100%. I went to great lengths to prove this to myself with my plug in hybred even to measuring brake temp after a long descent. I still would like to see it.

Uhm? Whenever your braking score is less than 100% you used friction brakes.
I'm pretty sure you'd want to watch the road under braking and not monitor the dash for the perfect amount of braking.

For the most part...

But if you mash the brakes hardish on a cold (30°F) morning the Regen bar does not go all the way and you get a 61% for a brake score. I think it had to do with hard stop so no Regen ramp. Deer popped out and his buddy turned around before crossing.
