Can you activate PPO without having to keep the truck "running" the whole time?

Ford added this to later models, they noted in an article it would come to the earlier models in a SW release. They have never delivered.

Pre-2025s do not yet have the ability to run PPO without the vehicle running (not positive on 2024s, too late to verify).

So much confusion here.

PPO works for all years with no minimum load required if the truck is turned on.

Starting with 2024, there is a Sync option to use PPO with the truck off. In this mode, there is a minimum load required.

I have no such option on my 12". Just a slider to set when it shuts the outlets off at a miles to empty setting. The outlets are only energized with my truck "on"
Kind of a bummer. The routine of shutting down headlights/AC/radio/carplay/mainscreen- and no way shut down or even dim the dash is a bit cumbersome. Encouraging you're able to pull it off, perhaps someday I'll get that feature.

There may be a way to accomplish most of what you want, but it requires using Forscan to activate the "Silent Mode" toggle. That's a one-time change and then you have the toggle in the vehicle menu.
It still requires the truck to be "On."

Ok, thanks. I'm hesitant to get into Forescan and to be initiating software changes on a vehicle thats still under warranty. If this is a software improvement that can be implemented I would like Ford to do it! And, how dumb is it that it was set up this way on the first place! Please!
