I will probably throw some nickels in there first, see if that helps. But the rest of my day is dedicated to the 442, have a small oil leak so changing the valve cover gaskets. It's one of those old school vehicles that make a lot of noise lolOh my, I've not seen that much work for this on the other threads/posts. Most just place them under the front spring tabs only (nothing to take apart).
I don’t think those springs are visible without taking a piece of trim off the back panel to expose them. I haven’t looked in awhile so I could be wrong.Oh my, I've not seen that much work for this on the other threads/posts. Most just place them under the front spring tabs only (nothing to take apart).

They are visible without removing anything. May be easier to get to with some removal, but should be able to do the 20 cent mod without removing anything. I have not done the mod yet, but it's on my ToDo list.I don’t think those springs are visible without taking a piece of trim off the back panel to expose them. These are in the front by just opening the console lid and looking up in (at). The video that was posted earlier was the first time I saw anyone accessing the rear side (back cupholders) to access the rear/other side of the spring.I don’t think those springs are visible without taking a piece of trim off the back panel to expose them. I tried the roof trick, no luck for me.I had a rattle that sounded like it was coming from the passenger side. My wife said it sounded like it came from the driver's side. After messing with stuff for a week, I opened and closed the moonroof. The noise disappeared. This has happened twice now. It was the first thing I tried when the rattle came back. I must be bumping the switch when turning on lights or opening the shade.
Had a rattle similar wife thought it sounded like her cheap sunglasses in the catch all in front of the shifter. It seemed like it moved around to me, I cleaned everything loose out of truck still could hear it. Took it to dealer they took the console apart and found an extra bolt that did not have a home. I don't exactly know where it was.I tried the roof trick, no luck for me.
I'm thinking i might eventually get to the same place. I'd just rather find it myself, i'm stubborn lolHad a rattle similar wife thought it sounded like her cheap sunglasses in the catch all in front of the shifter. I just didn't want to or think I should have to take the console apart in a brand new truck.I'm thinking i might eventually get to the same place. I'd just rather find it myself, i'm stubborn lol
I do not disagree, it is just kind of a crappy trip to my dealer. There are other closer but i've never dealt with them before.I just didn't want to or think I should have to take the console apart in a brand new truck.
We like our dealer and trust the service department.
They are not visible in my 2022 Lariat without taking out at least one piece of trim. These are in the front by just opening the console lid and looking up in (at). Hmm, our trim pieces look the same but your picture is taken slightly from above looking down. The hinge is on the top, right under the opening lid. Down, looking up in that hole/slit.They are not visible in my 2022 Lariat without taking out at least one piece of trim.
