I’ve had my 2025 lighting flash for a little over 5 months and 9500 miles. I love the truck with only a few frustrations so far. The biggest is the climate control. I really wanted a xlt for the physical buttons but couldn’t get the ER battery with it so went with the flash which everything considered I’m glad I did. Ford if you’re listening maybe you can help with the climate. Can you move the controls to the main page and make the center dial to where I can switch between volume and fan speed just by pushing on the dial. If for nothing else for the safety factor of having to look down taking eyes off the road twice. Having to hit the defrost/face/feet button to bring up a second screen to then find the location of heat or recirculate or select an individual zone seems crazy to me ( maybe its a me thing). Voice command also only seems to control max defrost and temp up and down but at least alexa will recognize fan speed commands. Is anyone else frustrated with this and would like to see something similar in lay out and fan speed control? Its just a very rough layout for concept

I second the option to switch between volume and climate control! They legit made it a feature on the Ford Bronco EV in China, crazy that making it digital is supposed to make it more flexible 😂.

Hello. You just joined the crowd that has had the same frustrations. The sync panel controls are only half of it. The other half is how bad the heat pump in these things work. You might list your Flash in your vehicle listing and a location so people will know what climate you are driving in.

To control the fan speed, simply hit the fan icon on the screen, then turn the dial...

Heat pump in mine seems to work ok. Then again I don't live where the temps get below freezing very often.

On a cold 25°f morning it takes 5 mins and mine is pushing out hot air.

Biggest frustration by far. And the fact that recirculate turns itself off whenever it feels like it. And since it’s not on the main screen, you have to periodically remember to check and see if it’s still on or not, or remember by inhaling diesel fumes when it turns itself off. No I don’t want to inhale diesel fumes going down the highway Ford, WTF. LET ME KEEP RECIRCULATE ON ALL THE TIME, I’D RATHER ASPHYXIATE TO CO2 POISONING THAN INHALE DIESEL FUMES FFS

And yes, I know asphyxiation by CO2 poisoning takes many hours in a vehicle with recirculate on, if it’s even possible. Seriously Ford, what in the Fk.

You can also keep tapping to increase the fan, but I agree with the OP, that it's a bit of a hassle to make simple adjustments.

2nd winter with my '24 Flash, and no issues with Heat pump. AND we're having the coldest winter in several years in the Mid-Atlantic area.

Nate002 the truck and I have had the same conversation you put in caps a couple times from this issue

The recirculate auto turning off and heat auto turning on is what for me is truly frustrating since I don’t have any visibility to them without going to a second screen. If I go from 72 to 73 deg setting it will turn the heat on even though its in the 80’s outside.

In the cold mornings, which we get a hand full of them down here, the toes in work boots start getting chilly. Thats usually my indication recirculate has shut off or passing by the waste water treatment plant.

I also find it interesting i have a physical max defrost button and one on the top page for the climate settings. And if I press max defrost with the system off then press it again to turn it off it leaves the a/c or heat on which then have to either tap fan then rotate nob to off or go to second screen for the off button.
