My 2023 XLT has lost Ford Pass connectivity again. This time for over 6 weeks. After all the start/ stops and resets with the Ford BEV folks, it is off to the dealer Service. Any other sudden connectivity issues from 23 owners?
2023 Lariat ER. My connectivity is randomly available (approximately every other day). No rhyme or reason from what I can see. But you either get lucky on start-up and get the connectivity logo on the Sync 4A or you just don't. I've tried every form of reset (fuses, battery, Sync reset, etc.) but nothing definitively fixes the issue. My best guess is that is gateway module which essentially initiates all the other modules in the vehicle. But that's just a guess.
The cellular modem (whatever the module is called) in my 2018 F150 failed and I had to have it replaced at the dealer. It wasn't intermittent, it just stopped working one day and never worked again.
I have had intermittent issues with my modem for 2 years now. One drive it works, and the next it won't. It has no particular pattern. If I fully reset it, then it might go a week or so before becoming bad again. Welcome to the club.
A good way to reset the modem, reported in this forum elsewhere, is to open (pull down) the right rear seat backrest, pull the felt off the back wall (remove one plastic retaining press-fit plug) and unplug the modem module sitting there high on the rear cab wall for a minute or so. This will reset the modem.
This is easy and I do it every three months or so just for general pmcs.
