Arrived at the lake today and plugged in to L1 at the house. Went to lock the truck via the button on the door handle, and nothing. Tried all 4 doors with the same result. Ended up locking with the Ford app. I didn’t try using the keypad.

Just seems odd. When I unplug tomorrow, I’ll make sure they work again.

Works as (in)consistently for me when charging or not in my '22 Lariat. I do find it helps to long press it longer than I think I should by a factor of 3. But even that does not always work.

The only time I have an issue with the button on the door handle is if the truck is on (normally to keep the AC running). Then it is quite unreliable. If the truck is off, it always works for me - including when charging.

Did you try opening the door and hitting the lock button?

Did you have your fob with you? Could be the truck was asleep.

I use the bottom two buttons (simultaneously) on the keypad. Far more reliable than the flakey capacitive sensors on the handles.

I use the Keypad to lock my truck. The lock buttons on the handles have only worked intermittently, and usually require more than one press. Has been going on since I purchased the truck 3+ years ago. Does not matter whether charging or not, nor which door handle I use.

Once I stopped charging, they worked normally. Mine have always worked fine as long as I keep my finger on the button for about 1 second. I had just unlocked using the keypad, so it wasn’t asleep.

Weird thing I see RE: locking ... if you have the tailgate open, no matter how you lock (WAL, keypad, fob) the Mirrors stay sticking out and don't fold. Now I look at it as a notice to me "you left the trunk open" ;)

If I have my phone of fob on me when washing the truck, the door buttons always lock and unlock the door as I'm running the mitt over them. They seem to be waaay more reliable when wet. They've been pretty hit or miss for me otherwise, so I usually just use the code pad to lock. Sometimes I'll notice that I forgot and WAAL will catch it, but that also hasn't been super reliable, at least not with PAAK.

Yep, that’s my observation also.
