How does one extend a public charger charging session in Fordpass Trip Planner, so that I only need one stop? It has me charging at the far point for 21min, then on return, 10min more about 30 minutes from home...

Also, how to I set the trip as a roundtrip, instead of home at the final waypoint?

As you see there is much less control over the routing options in "Power my Trip" planning.
Maybe fool the planner by designating a lower SOC at the outset of the trip would then have it suggest a longer charging session at that location.

I've fooled the planner by adding waypoints for the actual charging station as an intended stop, it projects the arriving SOC, while not necessarily suggesting that I hookup, if needed, I can and improve my SOC at the termination of the round trip.

I'm not following you on the second question, wouldn't a round trip be from where you started, assuming that is home? Is your goal to have it point you to a charging station for a certain SOC?

A couple of points.

Trip Planner isn't very flexible.

A Better Route Planner is much more flexible.

Since charging below 60% is the fastest, often the planners will have you charge for a short period, then hit another charger to do it again.

There is nothing stopping you from charging as much as you want any any charger. The vehicle navigation will adjust to the state of charge.

The additional charge time from a lower starting SOC does not negate the second session...

Other than my home, the only waypoint is the charger, as I am meeting someone there. I can just charge longer, and ignore the ignore the extra charging stop, as long as Fordpass does not stop the charger sooner (per the trip plan)?

I just want a "roundtrip" checkbox, instead of having to enter my home as a final waypoint.

Fordpass will not stop the charging session should you choose to stay longer than the projected needed charge to make to a subsequent "planned" charging event along the route, though it might decide to drop the subsequent stop if not needed to reach the next or final destination

Thanks for the clarification about a simple check box, that would be convenient.

I finally tried this. As I can display ABRP on the screen, this is the way. Now if I can just get the ODBII dongle to work with it reliably...
