F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2

The side cameras are viewable while moving with the 50/50 enabled.
I have a 2023 so ymmv but below are the changes I made along with my factory values. If yours are different then the updated value will change. You're basically enabling 50/50 views for the APIM values. I also have Cameras At Speed enabled and the Full View Not Available box removed.

APIM 7D0-01-01 xxxx *xxx xx-- 3 (factory setting 1)
APIM 7D0-01-04 xxxx xxxx x*-- 1 (factory setting 0)

@bmwhitetx, this mod is worth putting in the first post. 50/50 View and 50/50 View at speed. You definitely need to reference @Livnitup spreadsheet to make sure you keep current options.

So I checked my database of F-150's and here's what I found:

for APIM 7D0-01-01 xxxx *xxx xx--
All '22 and '23 Lightnings have a 1 there so they would change to a 3
All 24's Lightnings have have a 3 there already so no action needed.

for APIM 7D0-01-04 xxxx xxxx x*--
All '22 and '23 Lightnings have a 0 or an 8 (Smart Hitch) there so they would add 1 to make it a 1 or 9
All 24's Lightnings have have a 9 there already so no action needed.

So it looks like 24's should already have this feature. I'll add it to post 1 and take pics once I test on my truck - when it warms up!

Note ICE vehicles have completely different values so they should not follow this advice.

Added the changes to enable the 50/50 camera view button to post 1. Thanks to @PJnc284 .
Note this is for 2022 and 2023's. I believe 2024's should already have this view.

Here's one from the original thread from @dingmah that wasn't put on the master list. Whenever you start your truck, the Vehicle Power Down Timer is always enabled. This shuts the truck off after 30 minutes.

This mod will default that toggle to Off on start. Can be useful if you are using Pro Power or doing FDRS programming a lot.

Clearly you want to use this with caution. If you leave your truck on and in Park accidentally, it will stay on presumably until the battery dies. You can set a reserve when you turn Pro Power on but doubtful that applies when the truck is just on and Pro Power is off (let me know if otherwise and I'll edit).

IPC 720-01-01 x*xx xxxx xx if F then change to 7, if C change to 4.

Note that 2022-2024 Lightnings with ACC will have a "F" and trucks without ACC will have a "C". As always, let me know if you see something different.

I didn't know our DRL's would change. I don't think we have switchbacks like some ICE do we? We have dedicated blinkers.

My DRLs switch to orange when I turn blinkers on. 2023 XLT Option 312A.

Are these not the DRL's? I would think there's some way to have them activate amber when on, but someone who is more versed in Forscan might be able to figure it out.

I'd also like to be able to have the turn indicators remain on (in amber) while driving too, but haven't figured that out either.

Agree and went out to confirm as well. I believe they are, just had not paid attention.

Obviously they have the capability to be amber, the question is can you make it do it full time. My gut says no since they are the DRL's. Maybe the Forscan gods will find it.

There is very old state and or Federal law that dictates what lights should be used for what, and maybe their color too.

A lot of people questioned Tesla on this. When the Model 3 came out the rear blinker was red. I think it has been updated on later models, the Y is amber I know.

On the regular F-150 forum a member figured it out here, it appears that we have a similar setup with the DRL's also functioning as turn signals. I tried these values in Forscan but didn't have any success.

Adjusted my tire circumference with Forscan last week.

Today i had to disconnect the 12v while troubleshooting a shifter issue.

my tire size changes were lost. Speedo is off again.

is this normal? I thought we were making programmatic changes?

It bugs me when I see other cars have one side of their DRLs go off when the blinker is on. So you see a white DRL on one side and just a blinking amber outline around the DRL on the other. On other cars both DRLs stay on while the blinker is on.

My know-it-all son said there was a law that the turn signal had to be clearly seen. So if the DRL is too close/bright to the turn lamp then the maker just has the DRL turn off to comply.

I have no idea what our Lightning's do. I may be one of those annoying vehicles.

I think you/we are one of those annoying vehicles! I have not verified by actually looking at it standing in front of the vehicle, but I have noticed it on reflection from vehicles in front of me.

A few days back when it came up I went out to look at the front blinkers - they indeed are the DRL's that blink amber and the white light goes out while it is doing so.

Our blinkers are bright - when I am stopped at night with one on I see everything light up around - you can see the reflection everywhere.

On a related note - our lights are bright everywhere. I've had to go in to the office this week. I've seen 3 Lariats on the road. Almost more than I've seen in the last year. I passed on and was observing the light that we put out front. I do think it is well controlled and it wasn't in my eyes as I looked back, but dang there was a lot of light coming from the headlight pods.
