you better get an attorney to simply write a strongly worded letter for a couple hundred bucks and/or put them on retainer for a few thousand and close this deal.

That looks pretty clear that you get the rebate if you signed that contract. Unless there is a special provision tied to that rebate that allows them to cancel that in the event you don’t quality. Check the fine print. Devil is in the details.

I think it is over, the State notified the dealer that I wasn't going to re-sign the documents and the title is now showing "Active" by the Dept of Rev. Unless they decide to sue me, it's finished.
