Figuring actual miles/kwh

My EVIQO charger app shows how much power was delivered for the charge session. This is always higher than the Ford app shows, which I assume is due to efficiency loss. So which number would I use? For example, my last session showed 32.8kwh from the charger and 30.6kwh on the Ford app. Miles driven was 60.9 which gives 1.85 and 1.98 mi/kwh respectively. My dash showed 2.0 mi/kwh.

They are both correct depending on the question you are asking. To figure overall ownership cost, I use the kWh amount the EVSE registered and miles driven. Between the wall and battery, I typically see about 7-10% loss through EVSE cable and on-board charger AC-DC conversion.

However when I'm driving down the road I don't care about those losses - I want to know what my battery capacity is (SOC) and the miles it will take me - so I need a driving mi/kWh. This is what the dash shows and what the Ford App charge session shows (kWh into battery).

Ditto what @bmwhitetx said. Most of the time, mpk discussions refer to efficiency while driving. Taxman and a few others report their cost efficiency as well.

Easier math for actual driving range is a mental note of the terrain to travel and the mile/%. In flat and slower travel I've been close to 3 miles per percentage point. Faster and hills get me down to 2.5 ish.
