For around a week now, if I try to lock, unlock, or start my truck with the app, I get the swirling light around the button, but nothing happens. The swirling graphic just goes for a long time. Anyone else experience that?

App is communicating with the truck, because it does show the correct SOC, charging status, and mileage. So it isn't a modem failure.

I've experienced that as well as false fail to start messages, it was actually started.

You got my hopes up. But I tried your solution (assuming you meant to force-stop the app on your phone), and no luck. :(

Usually means trying to connect a server (or the vehicle I guess) or it is loading/trying to load data.

If the memory buffer is full or almost full, that will slow down data loading.

2 best ways to solve a memory data loading problem caused by not enough free memory (buffer):

Restart your device (smart phone): Restarting your device closes all open apps and clears the system cache, which can help improve performance.

Close apps: You can manually close apps that you are not using to free up system memory.

It is definitely not a phone problem. Tried the force-stop and restart suggestions, above. Also tried it on my wife's phone. Problem persists on both phones.

So I went to the truck and did a reset on the Ford Pass feature on the truck side. The end result of that experiment is that our phones both lost authorization for the truck, and now neither can reactivate the truck in the Ford Pass App.

Ford claims the issue is that there's a Power Up update pending, and that I can't reactivate until it completes. But the truck shows no pending update, and the "update now" button is greyed out.

Seems likely this is going to require a trip to the dealership to have them force the update.
