Yes, you can!
If you have PAAK!
Plus with Lightnings with doorpost keypad and PaaK enabled truck you can use keypad to open and password to start and drive the truck. I do this routinely when I am outside without my iPhone and need to move the truck. Very handy.

We have 2 Tesla's that use PaaK or Apple watch and 2 Fords. The Ford Lighting uses Paak and with our F-450 I leave a Fob in the truck and lock and unlock the truck with the keypad. I keep programed FOBs in both Fords locked in the Console safe as a 3rd backup. I never carry FOBs anymore and will not buy a vehicle that requires a Bulky Fob. 1st world problem.

No door code on my pro.
You can add one. Talk to your parts department at your dealer to figure out which one you need to buy.

It rules. I use it all the time and never thought I would. Shame too since I think I read Ford isn't going to be adding it to new vehicles anymore.

When I bought my 2011 f150 used , I didn’t set it for weeks, finally got the master code and did. I find I use it quite a bit, not so much on the lightning with the Auto Unlock grabbing the handle. but I have at times when the key is in the house and I needed something out of the truck .. very handy to have, it sucks they are discontinuing it.

I may have, but always had a duplicate on my person. I’m not sure.
If having the key inside the vehicle disables the unlock feature of the app, I’m a bit confused at the usefulness of such a feature.
I leave my key in my ER 2022 Lariat all the time. Unlock still works. I never remove the key from the truck.

I also have never used the keypad. The key fob lives in my pocket (along with my other keys, but not on the keyring), so I just use the auto unlock by grabbing the handle. To lock, I either hit the lock button inside (habit from previous truck), or sometimes the lock button on the handle.

Yesterday I forgot my key fob at home but I had my phone. I left the house no problem, all good, I get to my appointment, Park, return to the truck, phone in hand,
Door handle touch won't unlock the truck, Errr, I opened the Ford app I click unlock, doors open! Okay.
I get into the truck go to start, No key detected! How's that freaking possible? I just unlocked the damn truck with the app! You would think there's a connection in place!
No Key detected!
I waited a bit open and close the app open and close Bluetooth waited a bit no go! I had to use my passcode on the big touch screen to start the truck...
What the heck Ford?
Always carry your key fob.
You Can't rely on PAAK or Bluetooth.

FordPass unlock is unrelated to PAAK. if PAAK was working, you wouldn’t have needed to get your phone out and use FP to unlock.

PAAK is finicky, does not always work you can't trust it. Using PAAK door handle touch unlock is much slower if it even works, compared to almost instant touch unlock if your carry your Fob. I don't like PAAK has never worked well nor you can trust it, since I had the Lightning over a year now. I even upgraded my phone to the latest Samsung Galaxy and didn't make a difference. Downloaded reinstall Ford Pass many times, re set PAAK a few times, same oll problems..
Ford can't seem to get their software right when their competitors do.
Fail Ford.
I love the truck but not the software, terrible software.

Instead I keep a key fob hidden in the truck in a Faraday bag. Use door pad code and take fob from bag. Even cheaper is to remove the key fob battery and place both in a baggie and hide.

Also handy if you have to do an emergency drop at the dealer. They would likely prefer a fob over all the door code / pass code nonsense.

Yes I do have Faraday pouches, want to go on a long trip I bring my spare key throw it in a Faraday. Yes they are workarounds but it's no excuse from Ford why there's software can't work properly!
Fail...

I never carry a FOB in my pocket any more. Occasionally I've had the same intermittent issue with PaaK.
I have several alternate ways to get in and drive the truck

To open the locked doors
1- PaaK and touch the door handle
2- iPhone with Ford Pass on it to unlock the doors
3- Apple watch with Ford Pass to unlock the doors
4- Keypad on the door pillar to unlock the truck doors

Once I get into the truck, to start and drive the truck I have the following resources:
1- PaaK
2- Password to drive the truck
3- An Extra programmed Fob in a Faraday bag locked in the console safe

To ADD! It would be nice if Ford has a credit card sized RFID device that would fit in my wallet like I have with my Tesla's and I had with my Lexus. https://video.search.yahoo.com/sear...=4f7552a0252076f891708305313c1b5f&action=view

Fail...
Was at my storage room last week loading up some stuff, manually closed lifted the tailgate, get in the truck, saw the dash warning tail gate not closed... Hmmm
I hit the tailgate botton on the dash board and the tailgate freefalls open! Big clang at the end when Cables take the free fall hit..
More Fail....
Overall the last year or so the software is not reliable and at some point will always fail...
