I'm in central Kentucky and I spend most of my time in between Lexington and Versailles and Lawrenceburg and Frankfort. Frankfort is the capital city and Lexington is actually the second largest city in this state. Yet when I pull up the map on my Ford Pass App it doesn't show any charging stations at all around me. What am I doing wrong?

You have some filter set that is blocking them. There are several south of Lexington, and some north of Georgetown.

I just went back into the app and turned off all of the filters and now I see absolutely no charging stations on the map at all. Something is jacked up on mine.

Not sure what's up, my app does not show chargers over there either. Just stuck on "searching" with the back and forth chasing status bar.

Alternate sources of charge location info that I would consult, in rough priority / accuracy order:

- Plugshare.com / app
- Supercharge.info (fastcharger.info seems to be abandoned :(
- abetterrouteplanner.com
- Google maps

Edit: FordPass app just loaded chargers around Lexington, about 5 minutes later. Smells like an app / database glitch or maintenance to me.

Did you turn off P&C?

Okay I think I figured it out. It was user error. Apparently I had not set up my Ford Pass app with my credit card information yet. Once I listed a payment method suddenly all the charging stations started to pop up on the map.

Looks like there are several high-speed level 3 charging stations around me and the Tesla Supercharger stations are the least expensive at 46 cents per kilowatt hour. Thanks for the help guys.

And if you un-select Ultra Fast Only, the screen for that area becomes so cluttered that you can hardly see the map... Obviously does not help if you NEED fast charging. Level 2 charging is almost always less expensive than DCFC, and at least around here, a lot of shopping centers have free L2 charging. For example I was in a shopping center yesterday that had a half dozen or so L2 chargers scattered around the parking lot that were free. I expected to be there about an hour, so I did look for them - unfortunately they ere all in use at the time. Had I been able to grab one, I would have been able to get 6 - 7 KWH for free. Not a lot of power, but 15 miles for free - I'll take it!

In your original screen capture, you had Plug & Charge selected. While that is certainly convenient, it is often quite limiting - as the screen capture Maquis posted shows. The reality is that there are a bunch of different charging networks available, and you will likely have apps for a bunch of them that you may need at various times. Some will show up on FordPass and some will not and some will shop up but you need to use their app to start a charge session. I just looked at my phone, and I currently have eight charging apps in addition to FordPass - Tesla, Electrify America, Shell (and the older version of it - Shell Recharge), EVGo, ChargePoint, EVOLV, and Blink. A couple of those I have never used, and one was for one location that used that one. Also note that in many cases, the app for a particular network will have more real time information on charger availability than FordPass does for that network.

One last note, is that for at least several of them, if you will use a particular network regularly, you can buy a membership that gets you a lower rate. To take advantage of the membership rate you MUST use their app. At various times I have had memberships for Tesla and Electrify America. You can pay for a month and cancel it before the month runs out and then it goes back to the non-member rate when the month runs out. DO verify that they actually cancel it. I had Electrify America continue to bill me monthly after I cancelled. I did not notice the first unexpected billing, but caught it on the 2nd one. When I talked to EA, they even admitted that they could see that I cancelled it six weeks earlier, but could do nothing about it. Depending on the network, it only takes one or two charges on that network in a month to make the membership pay for itself. For example, if you are going to take a trip where you will use Tesla SuperChargers for example a bunch of times, buy the monthly membership and save a bunch of money.

I would never have guess that it would (not) work this way. “If you’re not going to pay me, I won’t show you anything!” 🤪
