How many miles are you getting on your tires?

I took delivery of my Lightning last July and now have about 17k miles on the truck with factory tires. (Platinum with 22” wheels). I used to get about 20k miles on my Tesla Model X tires, which had 20” wheels. Just curious for folks that have more miles than me what you’ve been experiencing. I know everyone drives differently and we may have different surfaces, but a ballpark guess would be interesting to compare. Thanks!

I actually was just wondering the same thing. The mache I had I only got about 12,000 mi out of my stock tires which they were summer performance but I drive hard almost a full pedal at every stop but I'm assuming I might get 17. Maybe 19,000? I'm at 15400 mi right now and I'm getting near the wear Mark. I'm definitely going to try and make it till winter time and then get a new set. I had a Ford edge sport with a liver noise 93 Max tune and I only was seeing 20-22 k miles before a change. That was only summer i used snow tire set in the winter. So I don't think it's just the Evs. But then again it's all about what tires you get and how you drive.I don't get the 70k tires that rode like ?

25K miles a year on the MME and got 50K out of the OEM tires. Expect the same out of the LT and at 2.5 Mi/KWh I’m easy on the throttle. My ‘99 7.3 Ford SD rolled on Load Range E tires at 75 psi. Great fuel mileage (24 mpg) w/6 sp stick but a hard riding 3/4 ton. Been wondering what similar tires would do to the LT’s mileage.

Just under 16k in my Lariat ER and still have plenty of tread life left in the factory Generals. Guesstimate I would get about 25k out of them. Mixed driving with a good number of long highway stretches in there.

That said, I will be replacing them come October with something that can actually handle snow.

Just gave up on the stock Hankook AT tires at 46K - rotated every 10K, but still they were all used up.

I have 20k on the OEM General Grabbers and they're probably more than half used up. I doubt they'll last past 35k.

Switched out my Hankook ATs at 36k. I didn't rotate until 15,000 and by that point the front tires that got rotated to the back tires were already worn significantly more than the rears. I guess spirited driving wears out the fronts faster than the rears.

I just got my winter tires put on and I checked my tread depths on the Grabbers. Fronts had about 3/32" above the wear bar, rears had 4/32". 20,600 miles. General says the tread depth is 10/32" so that 8/32" of usable tread. I'm a little over half done. I'll get one more season out of them. My original guess of 35k is pretty spot on.

A little off topic but curious how you feel about the move from the Model X to the Lightning. In the market for a Lightning Platinum but worried I'll miss Tesla's software and app

I loved my X, but two things influenced my decision, the age of the X and changes in my vehicle needs. The X was over 6 years old and was in need of replacing. Also, since I bought the X in 2016, I sold my house in the city and moved to a 70 acre ranch. I thought the cybertruck was ridiculous, so that left the Lightning and the Rivian in 2021. As for comparison's to the tech, Ford continues to inch closer to the Tesla experience but its not quite there yet. One BIG advantage the Lightning has over the Tesla is Apple Car Play. It is SO much better experience in my opinion with its integration with IOS apps. I also use Android Auto and it is better as well. The downsides: firmware updates are not very often and the app doesn't let you control everything you want in the truck. Hope this helps.
