I've been launching from neutral since 2022. Started doing this when I would have other people drive it because it is so simple. Put the truck in neutral, hold the accelerator to the floor, pull shifter back to drive.

Wow this never would have occurred to me to try this. But I’d be too scared of breaking something 😬

Wow this never would have occurred to me to try this. But I’d be too scared of breaking something 😬
There's nothing to break, it's all electrically controlled. Same way you can shift from Drive to Reverse while moving, I do it every day, it's something I love about EVs and why I'll never go back to a transmission car.

You can also just shift into park while on the highway going 65mph,, nothing happens, b/c the computer knows more than you.

Agree on Reverse to drive, 'specially cool with the rotary shifter ! Shifting into Park while moving slowly has been rude a couple of times - don't recommend.

I'll take your word on the 65mph, I'm not that brave
