I'd call about this if it were me and was out of warranty:

https://electronicrestore.com/collections/automotive-repair-services/products/ford-acm-repair

Or look for a local shop that will do it.

I think $1200 is a steep price for that from Ford.

How to Get Started

Simply place the order and send the ACM using the instructions that will be emailed to you. If you’re unsure whether your ACM is faulty, give us a call, and our support team will assist you in diagnosing the problem.

Hard to be sure from a photo, but those brown spots just look like cosmetic soldering heat related discoloration, if the pads have not been damaged, which it does not appear they have been - when the heat has damaged the board, it is usually pretty obvious as the video below indicates.
---FYI---
Heat discoloration during soldering, typically brown or black staining, indicates excessive heat, prolonged soldering iron dwell time, or flux residue, often causing charring of the solder mask or fiberglass laminate.

While often cosmetic, severe discoloration can indicate lifted pads, damaged traces, or carbonization, making the PCB conductive. Prevent this by using appropriate temperatures (350C or lower), minimizing iron contact to 2-3 seconds, and using flux to improve heat transfer.

This video explains how to identify heat damage and bad solder joints:

Also sometimes the flux burns, and that will clean up with isopropyl alcohol as suggested above.
But really it is just cosmetic.

It may be your other post I commented on, but I have had the exact same issue. Sound stopped, same situation for radio and GPS. Started working randomly after several days and stopped again.
Currently in shop, got text today that they are replacing the radio.

I hope you weathered the storm well! We were in Maui last week and had fantastic weather. Left last Thursday night and it had rained all day but we missed the bulk of it. Was devasted to see what the next few days brought. The flight home was very rough… lots of “floating off the seat” moments 😳

After going through all the steps in the WSM, looks likely the ASM.
Local dealership says $390 for the part, +$50 freight (Island Life)…so I told them to order it. There is a $150 core charge, but will happily give them the busted on.
🤞🏼 this will be the fix.

Yeah, it was quite a storm. 30 inches of rain in Kula…17 down here in Kihei…in just 24hrs 😵💫.
We had a lull and now expecting another couple of days of rain from another storm passing though. Glad you enjoyed your stay and the weather was nice!
