One of my former co-workers has an early 1960s International that he drives now and then. That pre-dates any of the smog controls. It's amazing how much that thing stinks. Reminds me of my childhood. I was born in 1959 and grew up in the Los Angeles area. All the bad reputation LA had for smog was very much deserved back then. A few decades later and the smog was far less of an issue, but those old cars STINK!

Passing a gas station the other day and got a big whif of gas and for an instant, the first thing comes to mind is to pull over and check for leaks, then it dawned on me, wait. 😂 nm

Converted over from gas to electric everything yard work related to include a riding mower, it's nice to not get gassed out cutting close to the house or fence.

I live in a fairly rural area of Virginia, where the 'Diesel Bros' run rampant. I have had to endure them rolling coal while driving my Volts (I've had two in the past 5 years). I've had my XLT less than a week, and I'm SO happy that now I'm 'immune' to their idiocy. Now I sit the same height as them, so no headlights in my mirrors, (they loved to 'push' the Volt) and if they get annoying I can simply avoid them with the instant silent and clean accel!
The Silence in my truck is great as well, Pure EV is such a change vs even the fairly quiet Volt. Now I need to work on my partner and her VW Tiguan. I'm hoping the Lightning will become the family road trip vehicle. (not holding my breath though).
My work truck is another story, 2021 Freightliner Cascadia... so I'm noisy as all get out, and Diesel is what it is. HOwever it allowed me to afford my new Favorite vehicle.

Be safe out there folks!
