Just did my semi-annual "drop spare, air to 44psi, and wash"

Tire had dropped a few pounds. Key access was dirty, wiped it off and ensured it didn't need to be lubed. Spare winch worked as expected.

So many don't do this and then wonder a) how to lower spare, or b) why key/winch is rusted and won't work, or c) why spare has insufficient air in it.

Sadly I'm of the "eh! I'll worry about it when it's an issue / too late" kind of people when it comes to spares.
During nearly four decades of driving I've had to use a spare... once... so I'm a rebel and quietly ignoring my spare.

Last 3 years: had 1 super sudden puncture/flat in a mile AT tire blowout - and one overnight slow leak - 1st one Les Schwab Tire Centers came out to seal - then into their shop for a free fix - 2nd one compress air aided then to Les for another free quick fix - thank you though - will have the Ford dealership check at this Wednesday's appointment - status of spare air/hardware.

I had the salesman add it. I always keep an air pump in the truck as well.
