I was driving home from breakfast this morning and had a HUGE iced tea with me, no lid. So big, it wouldn't fit down into the cup holder. So, I had it sitting precariously halfway in the cup holder and was holding it steady with my hand as I drove. Of course, the 3 seconds during which I removed by hand from the cup, it turned over, spilling forward into the other cup holder, the phone holder, and the well where you wirelessly charge phones. This was a full, huge cup of tea, probably 32 oz. or so. Several questions:

1. The liquid just disappeared. It immediately drained out of the well with wireless charger, and mostly drained out of the other cup holder and the phone holder spaces. The liquid did not drain out into the floor or anywhere else that I could find. Where did the liquid go?

2. Is this going to cause any damage to anything?

3. The tea was unsweetened, so basically it was just brown water. Because it disappeared, there was really nothing for me to clean up. So, I've basically done nothing. Is there anything I should do?

Thanks!

It probably soaked into the carpet underneath the console. If it drenched the front cupholder, I would be worried about the slot you put your FOB in in an emergency.

If it were me, I would take everything apart and clean it. But that's me.

Park in a sunny area with all the windows cracked open to allow evaporation to escape for a couple of dry sunny days

Rich Rebuilds ( Youtuber ) bought a used Tesla that had been in a flood. He filled it with dry rice to remove as much moisture as possible. He said it worked/helped.

Fill areas affected, let it sit for 24 hours, then vacuum out. Might be worth the cost of a bag of rice?

We only eat / drink in the vehicles on trips. Nothing is uncovered, ever.

I agree with pioneer74 if you’re able to I would take it apart and dry everything as much as possible not sure with it being unsweetened if it would have an odour or not but you don’t want that lingering either
