Right, Q1. But in 2024 Cybertruck won. Sad.
"Won" ?
It was the first year of any type of serial delivery (yes, they delivered a few in 2023) so of course volume will be high(er).

It's only now, that all the diehards and instafamous/vloggers and what not has already gotten theirs, that you'll see the true demand.

I have to agree, the CT was a new model with highly pent up demand. If the Lightning can outsell it in Q1 of 25 that is a HUGE win.

IMO Ford did really well here. The Equinox and the Prologue did well, but those are very new. For Ford to have the sales they did with the very mature Mach-E and Lightning platforms is great.

Truthfully, the Lightning is the only real truck of the bunch. It’s no contest.

I know. I really wish they would offer a mid-cycle refresh. Frankly, I think if they offered 800v charging and face-lift to the current style the truck would take off again.

I wonder if someone looked at weekly sales if the CT was winning in Q1 until the salute.

Forbes had a recent report with numbers of 6406 for CT in Q1 2025 vs 7187 for Lightning.
CT was the leader for 2024 with ~39,000 vs 33,510 for Lightning

But Lightning retains a large lead for lifetime sales due to its 2022 and 2023 head start and now pulling away again in 2025.

CT Lifetime: ~45,506 (estimated)
Lightning Lifetime: 80,479

I’m buying one this week for my commuting needs. I drove the GM twins too and ford is just a much more affordable solution.
Should I NOT get one??

The only reason to not get one, in my opinion, is if you regularly drive over 500 miles, or you regularly tow long distance. This is especially true if you do so in cold climates (regularly see 0f).

Those are the trucks biggest limitations. And truth be told, its not that bad if you dont mind the charging stops.

Oh, or if you always have to park in a very very tight parking garage.

For a day to day truck stuff this thing is amazing.

I live in Pittsburgh and I won’t be towing anything.
I’m coming out of a bronco raptor, which is killing me on gas for my day-to-day commute. I got all googly eyed when I bought it because it was a fun convertible. But I don’t use it nearly to its capabilities. I also have a Corvette that I drive when I want open air fun. I figured the lightning is a perfect mix for family duty and my day-to-day commute.

Perhaps Q2 will show some improvement, I can confirm at least 1 sale in June. :)

You have to charge at home. That's where any savings will be. Ford is still doing the Power Promise promotion so make sure you claim that.
