Elmo is a loose cannon, determined to F up that company. I wish him great success in doing so. 🤣
I have no ill will against Tesla independently. Their engineers have done a lot of great work. But as an extension of Musk, any revenue generating company is dangerous.

Well I'll jump right in...
I have my Lightning Pro set up the way I like it. But at $59990 if some one pulls out or something someway somehow totals out my Lightning. I'll be looking at the Cybertruck and any Lightning Flash models still available. I prefer the F-150 style, but like it or not the Tesla has far superior software and electrical systems. Slightly smaller with 4 wheel steering will greatly improve manuaverabilty. I really prefer the conventional F-150 Styling. Both interiors are radically different but appealing. Range is a draw. Native NACS a plus. Exterior styling Ford wins hands down but if they are sold out.
Self driving vs Blue Cruise no contest. The upcoming $30000 EV truck will just be a shrunken Tesla. All the engineers are extesla 48 volt electrical, best part is no part, gig casting. Granted this all is the future of automotive technology just as is the conversion to EV technology. Time will tell I teresting to see how this plays out for Tesla.

Curious in this thread, how many have driven a cybertruck?
I have, but not long enough to fully form an opinion. It was a 15min test drive. Enough to know it handles more like a sport sedan than a truck and the driver visibility would take getting used. It was also before they had FSD working on it. I’ve been looking for one to rent because you really don’t know the things you really like and really hate until you’ve lived with it for a week or so. I’ve fixed most of the things I did not like about my Lightning but there are still a few and I’m curious if on balance the CT is better. The $59k version would not be the spec though, I want the air suspension.

I’ve driven them enough to say the cyber beast (again my opinion) is like every ev truck owners top end options placed in one vehicle. Eccentric design, stupid acceleration, steer by wire, weird field of view, retractable tonneau cover as a standard. The list is nearly endless. Elon also said at one point that they’d be much more affordable than even now , that’s the ct line not just the beast. I figure if this was the opening price a few years ago upon release coupled with less launch issues like the window problem or the faulty trim, and the ev market probably would’ve had much less turbulence.

60k for a truck, any truck is probably a decent deal across most us markets but I don’t know if that drop is enough to hold much of the client base who’s gonna feel really hoodwinked by the drop. I suppose some of us could feel the same with the loss of the lightning and rapid depreciation. Like ct faithful those of us who purchased for the right reason and did the research are more likely to be indifferent about it, knowing that lightning owners were the clear winners of the full size electric trucks.

Impressive bones but awful exterior design. Non starter at any price.

I'd rather switch to the Sierra EV. I saw one the other day, or at least the back of it while in traffic. Didn't get a real good look but it's the next best option (in my opinion) if I can't replace my Lightning with another.
I saw one just the other day and thought "that is a decent looking pickup right there." If I were to ever switch to another EV truck, it would be the one.

They are finally starting to produce some less pricey trims. Will be interesting to see how they compare to our Lightning in 3-4 years. I don't plan on selling, but life likes to throw us curveballs. Pays to be prepared.
