Lightning does not auto change lanes. You must use a turn signal to initiate it.I installed the BlueCruise update yesterday, and now it automatically changes lanes and no longer turns off the way it used to. You should give it a try.

2029!? How the heck did you get your trial out that far? I'm good until August 2026 after they gave me an additional free year as they were rolling out BC 1.4I got the OTA update last Sunday so i have had a few days to use it. Over all the upgrade to 1.4 from 1.0 is noticeably different ! My truck doesn't hug the right lane any more and is more centered into the lane driving in That's a huge plus !!! I commute 49 miles each way , the morning drive is a piece of cake 80 mph the whole trip with just a few highway to highway interchanges and the truck will slow down and make the curve but then picks back up. Afternoon rush hours are a different story for me , everybody wants to fill in the gap the truck leaves with the vehicle in front of it and it kinda throws off everything. but once you find a happy medium its all worth it. My trial with bluecruise is good till 2029. I hope the price comes down to a reasonable level cuz i love it.
Are we talking Mach-e type speed control based out lane change or we talking auto change upon single tap?I installed the BlueCruise update yesterday, and now it automatically changes lanes and no longer turns off the way it used to. You should give it a try.

How the heck did you get your trial out that far? I'm good until August 2026 after they gave me an additional free year as they were rolling out BC 1.4
I thought the ability to auto-change lanes was coming in version 1.5 (which I don’t yet have).Lightning does not auto change lanes. You must use a turn signal to initiate it.
Only 2025 Mach E's have BC 1.5. It is unknown if Ford will be releasing it to other models.I thought the ability to auto-change lanes was coming in version 1.5 (which I don’t yet have).
Well, that's unfortunate. I'd love to have that capability in my Lightning.Only 2025 Mach E's have BC 1.5. It is unknown if Ford will be releasing it to other models.
Yeah, I agree thats pricey. I got a 90 day trial that is up this month and Im not going to renew it. Maybe I'll get it when I have a road trip or something but not paying for that every month. Not for $64.99+tax CAD per month I won't be.. Great to hear there's been improvement; BC 1.2 wasn't bad when I had the trial. If Ford dropped the cost to about half of what it is now, I'd sign on for the summer months.
As far as we know, the 2025 Mach-E has a hardware difference that is required for BC1.5.. so it is very unlikely we will ever see it backported.Well, that's unfortunate. I'd love to have that capability in my Lightning.
Yes, you have to turn on the turn signal to initiate a lane change. If your definition of auto lane change is that the truck decides to change lanes for you - NO F***ING WAY do I want that!Lightning does not auto change lanes. You must use a turn signal to initiate it.
