Sync not loading new emails since late November 2024... I can't figure this out.

As per title, one day some weeks ago the Sync stopped loading my new emails from the BlueTooth-linked phone.

It's not a critical feature yet I have found it pretty handy in this car and in previous cars (Ford and Toyota).

I deleted and re-paired my phone... same phone BTW. No dice. Yet new SMS messages and phone calls and phone logs load just fine.

I've had no changes in service provider or password on my e-mail account side. I continue to receive new emails on my phone and on other devices.

I did get the Sync upgrade from 1076 to 1270 about then, and subsequently the TCU 10.0.1.1. upgrade.

Has anyone run into this with Ford Sync and solved the issue? Much appreciate any hints.

Android Galaxy series... S8 Active.
Double check the notifications settings on the phone, for the affected app and android auto, it's possible some of your preferences were switched off by bad android updates

Also remember, that AA only presents new messages (text, etc) received during current drive cycle, as far as I've experienced, it does not pull up prior messages. I'll have to double check that, since I hardly ever use that function on the AA apps screen in Sync

Gotcha. I only use Android Auto sometimes, for a work-related issue. All other times (most of my driving) I use the native Sync stuff, including its PHONE function - this is where my emails are stuck somehow.

With both the 23 pro and 24 flash, I rarely get a text to show up and never an email.
Samsung galaxy A35 with dual Sim / 2 numbers.

I've tried with both a USB CxC connection and wireless. What am I doing wrong?

Reviving an old thread... the Sync email-loading mysteries continue to evolve

I write this thread addition to:

1. forewarn others who might be upgrading to the newest Android system phones, and

2. to see whether anyone else has faced this silly yet irritating no new emails issue in their Sync, and perhaps solved it.

This issue is not a critical one for me, merely inconvenient... but still, inconvenient enough to be bothersome. IMHO this might be centered on Android Auto and its interaction with Ford Sync.

Last December (as per original post above) I lost the ability to "see" new emails on the Sync. About that time, the only change was that I started to regularly use Android Auto for a work-related reason.

Sometime in late Spring or early Summer 2025, the emails started to again load into Sync, all by themselves. BTW, I left that job in May and didn't need to use Android Auto anymore about that time. There was a gap of several weeks between the two events... perhaps the Sync system used that time to cycle thru some internal software loop and clear old Android Auto-caused email functions (??).

Now this October, at the prompting of a smart nephew I finally upgraded from the old reliable Galaxy S8 Active phone to the new XCover 7 Pro phone. Nothing else had changed, other than a Sync OTA upgrade this Summer. Except that...

As soon as I paired the new Samsung XCover 7 Pro to the truck, all my Sync emails disappeared... meaning, old loaded emails had disappeared (O.K. I deleted the old phone so that likely cleared some memory cache within Sync) and new emails, again, now fail to load into Sync.

Of course, the new XCover 7 Pro phone's "new owner" service initiation script now automatically forces a load of Android Auto grrr... this makes me think that Android Auto is the culprit. Of note, the newest Google software iteration has made Android Auto an internal part of its phone software system rather than a standalone app like before so this email non-loading has become far less avoidable for us users.

Any comments and ideas are welcome.
