Continental TerrainContact A/T aren’t XL rated. If you’re ever planning to carry a load in your bed, they probably aren’t the best choice. There is an XL version of the HT. Ideally you want to stick with EV rated tire. Granted that doesn’t leave a lot of choices for the Lightning.

Go with the Continental TerrainContact A/T — quiet, long‑lasting, and excellent for mostly highway driving. Toyos are noisier on the freeway, so not ideal for your use case.
do you know of any other tires that look aggressive and yet get great efficiency and ride quality? The only thing that concerns me about the Continentals is the longevity/durability.

I went with the Bridgestone Dueler Ascent A/T. 17k miles on them, no loss to efficiency, just as quiet as my OEM Grabbers, decent price. I haven't measured tread depth recently. I'd say they should last about the same as the Grabbers did for me ( 35-40k miles ). If I think about it, I'll try to measure them tonight.

what about the Michelin Defender LTX MS? these supposedly hit the mark for tread life, grip in 3 seasons, wet grip, efficiency and quietness for road use. I'll be upgrading to a set of these.

That "aggressive look" you are after is very subjective but it is possible to get an "aggressive look" without having to resort to ridiculous and impractical A/T tires, or those blocky looking pretend A/T tires.

Those Bridgestone Dueler Ascent A/T tires look great. When you say "no loss of efficiency", you mean compared to the stock Grabbers? That's impressive, since they are an LT tire. Or do you have the passenger tire variation? Assuming you have the LT version, what pressure do you run on them? I have the Cooper Discoverer AT3x LT tires, which i absolutely love (super grippy, quiet, suprisingly compliant and solid in the rain/snow), and I am running them at 45psi cold. Seems to be about right for my truck - I have an SR XLT, so a bit lighter than the ER variants.

I ordered off Tire Rack, snip below. And yes, I was comparing to my OEM Grabbers. I live in the SW desert and 75% city driving so I average 2.7mpk most of the year. I drop to 2.5mpk over the summer. I just took a road trip of 330 miles each way, still get 2.0-2.1 mpk at 70mph.

EDIT: I will absolutely be buying these again, very happy so far.
