Someone recently posted a picture of a Lightning near the production facility in Avalanche color. Due to the color I'm insinuating this is an early MY23 model...

The truck itself looked like an XLT. Upon zooming in I notice the tire is "General Grabber" (picture below). Is this the same as what was on MY22, does anyone know anything about these?

That looks like the All Seasons that have been offered on the XLT and above to date.

The Grabbers are pure crap. Had three failures in two days. Ford should be ashamed for putting such cheap tires on the Lightning. Had a set of Michelin Defenders installed today (Costco version which is identical except called X LT A/S 2). Best tires I've ever owned and night and day smooth compared to the General Crappers.

Costco also has the Defender branded tire for $9 more. I asked the guy why they sell both and he said the Defender branded one is for the people that don't believe him when he tells them they are exactly the same.

ive been wanting to upgrade... im at 30k and i want a more A/T tire but stuck on range vs function. I want to level and get 275/65/20 (about 34") but worried ill hate my decision as the truck already struggles with anything over 175 miles in winter. I am waiting on the battery module and pack replacement and hoping some of the weaker range (1.5 at 65) is partly due to this....

my '22 PRO came in August 22 with Michelin Primacy XC 'all terrain' ... they look good after 39,000 miles, and are smooth as silk, and I ride them near their stated max of 51psi each... enjoy.

I honestly have not seen a difference since battery pack / module replacement.
I have tho had heavier tires from the get go - 275/60/20 but in a recon grappler. After a year I was pretty comfortable with my driving habits so I got a 2” level and went 285/65r20 I have an ER and around town it’s in the 2-2.5 range easy. Anything above 50 and I’m around 1.6-1.9

I have had a raptor and feel on road it’s very similar feel suspension and ride now without the exhaust sound and I like sitting up higher. Not to mention the instant torque / acceleration - it’s just a fun truck to drive around. The 285 is a 34.8 tire with no rub. Some people like more space in the wheel well then go with a 295/60. A little wider / shorter tire - I personally like the taller tire. Just preference. I think both weigh about the same. If you have range anxiety don’t do it - if you do mostly in town running around - regular commute you will be fine. Anything longer then a 2.5-3 hour highway trip without a good end charger option I’ll just take my ICE truck.

Love the look! So glad to hear there's no rubbing, I drive 150 a day so no tires until I get my pro charger installed.
