New Waze SYNC 4 Integration with Instrument Cluster: Any Luck?

Supposedly, SYNC 4 systems got the update in the latest software update from Waze. I installed the Waze update last night, and then inputted a destination today and drove about 25 miles, but no joy on getting any directions on the instrument cluster. Has anyone had success with this yet?

The article says it’s Waze version 5.4. My Waze app appears to be the latest version from the App Store, but under “About” it says version ios 5.3.

I’m a Waze beta tester and I have 5.4.1.0 right now. I’ll try this tomorrow when I go out.

The Apple App Store shows the latest version to be 5.4 but in the app itself, it is showing an iOS version of 5.3.

I just checked my Waze app and it was 5.3 and not showing any update available. I went to the App Store and it just had “Open”. When I clicked on it in the App Store then it changed to “Update” so I was able to get 5.4. I’ll check it out shortly.

Weird - mine is showing 5.4.0.1 in the app.

Ignore that. I was looking in the wrong place. It says 5.4.0.1.

Same here!! The information displayed is so much more useful in real-time than the what Maps displays. I use Maps to get the guesstimate of charge remaining at destination and then switch to Waze to get valuable information along the route.
I have been playing with ABRP, and I think it has great potential but it not ready to compete with Waze, maybe under Rivian ownership they’ll make some improvements that will.

If only Waze had a satellite view in CarPlay, then it would be my easy choice. Can’t stand any other view now. So Waze and Apple Maps lose.

You’ll know you have 5.4 when you see this new logo on your phone:

Notice the white (versus blue) in the logo.

So I tried to go through every setting in both the Iphone and Waze, and I am convinced this is not really implemented in this version despite what the article says. I tried rebooting the Waze app and the Iphone with no luck. According to my app info I have 5.4.0.1.
