Phone as Key issues Fix Post #11

Anyone having phone as key issues this morning? My truck keeps saying “no key detected”. Had to dig up my actual key to start.

Did you close the app? If not close and reopen. Does the app refresh on pull down? Bluetooth turned off?

I did close the ap. Restarted the phone. No dice. I can use my phone to lock and unlock and start hvac. But not start the truck. Luckily it happened at home and I had a key nearby.

Thanks guys. I’m at work. Looks like ford rolled out a phone application update last night. I just downloaded it. Will report back when I get out of work.

lol. Yes - of course

I too thought it was strange since the truck opened with the phone, as I approached it. I then was able to get out, pull up the ap, lock /unlock / control hvac. I restarted the phone and the ap - got back in the truck and it still said no key detected. I went back in the house, got the fob and it turned on without an issue.

I’m hoping that the ap refresh is it. I really do not miss having a key fob.

I will report back this evening.

I'm having the same issue. Updated the android app this morning before leaving for work and had to use my backup passcode. Looks like Ford broke PAAK.

I rebooted my phone while I was at work and PAAK worked just fine on my way home.

I’ll leave the key away from the truck. Hopefully I’ll have the same luck. Thanks for the update.
