Ha ha. I have member berries. Riding on the tailgate down the highway. Back when kids were…well, kids.
... or sitting on top of the bed side walls. My brother and I used to wait at the bottom of the driveway for my Dad to come home from work in his early 50's Chevy truck. We would jump up on the running boards and ride to the top of the driveway ... sometimes with just one foot and hand on the truck, and the other hand and foot flapping in the breeze. My Dad AND Mom were in the Army during WWII. They had a different threshold for danger than for today's kids.

Do they get to ride inside the cab?
I nearly banned them after their first ride. They didn't know I was getting a new truck and were pretty excited when I picked them up from school. Unfortunately, the excitement wore off quickly.

By the time we turned into our neighborhood the six year old was biting something the eight year old felt belonged to her. The eight year made a mighty tug to take what was hers and took two front teeth - which were already loose - with her. Screaming and hysteria ensued.

I calmed down when I determined no blood had spilled on my perforated white seats. One tooth however, has never been accounted for.

I installed seat covers.😆

I didn't take a pic, but I used the Lightning to run my battery charger/starter to get my 2003 BMW vert going after the winter because I was too lazy to get out an extension cord AND walk around to the outlet out front.

Figure I'll snap and post a picture every time I do truck things with my truck. Got any?

Didn't capture earlier trips transporting a full-sized box springs and mattress, and various furniture, but today made a quick loop to pick up some glass block and enough river rock gravel that I'm not upset that I had to delete the on-board scales...

This was about a week after I picked up my truck last October. Taking the pontoon out for the winter here in CT. Best tow vehicle I've owned. So much better than the Tahoe it replaced. The tourqe and smoothness is amazing.

I've done some other truck things too but don't take a lot of picture. I'll try to remember moving foward.

~3300 lbs of rough sawn lumber picked up from an Amish mill last week.
The sawyer said (as he scratched his head), "I didn't hear your engine."
I said, "There isn't one." :)

Simple twin xl bed move.

Mattress was foam so I squished it to get the tailgate to close. I also cheated and put most of the bed in the second row of the cab.

Surprising thing was I encountered significant drizzle-rain for about 40 miles yet mattress stayed dry.

I was thinking it would be neat if there were a way for EV drivers in this situation to contact nearby Lightning owners to see if they'd be willing to help. Ultimately, I think running out of charge just doesn't happen that often.

I am a board member of our local Electric Vehicle Association. I’ve posted in our local group multiple times I’m always willing to help other drivers if it happens. Had a EV Charging company reach out to me because their company car died while a new employee was trying to learn how to drive EV that week.
