Priority Update - BCM-24.5.1 - Frunk Operation (Walk Away Door Lock) EAP

My 2024 Pro has had the WAL toggles on the Sync settings menu since I brought the truck home, but it does not have WAL. I have been through all of the ForScan settings that I could find pertaining to WAL and they are all "on" so to speak. I don't know if my trim level will get this BCM update, but I would love for WAL to magically appear, as well as have my frunk get "better over time".

Don't believe the Pro has WAL. Know flash and above have it but not sure about the xlt.

24s that had wal already had it from the factory. The BCM update that added the WAL was on the 22/23s

It's a Pro and the consensus is that Pro's don't have WAL, even if they're 2024's but the toggles have always been there.

I thought you needed Phone As A Key for WAL to work.

Nope - it's key fob based. I have never set up PAAK.

It's simply unwanted behavior with a "frunk operation" update, and no way to turn it off without Forscan.

Does this update give you the toggle to turn off WAL? I don't want WAL. I want my truck to stay unlocked in my garage.

my 22 lariat got updated at the dealer and I have walk away locks now they drive me nuts! And there is no toggle on the centre stack to turn it off even though the owners manual says you can!

I fully get your frustration. I had already done the Forscan update for the toggle in hopes I would get WAL at some point soon so I was ecstatic that it worked with this update. I filled out my survey and did not hold back when asked what I thought about their release notes.

Mine always did that. Even before the update. As long as all the other doors were closed I could lock the truck then close the frunk with the button.
Now when will they add the ability to open the frunk from the app?

Do you not have the frunk/tailgate opening under the Bluetooth controls icon on ur app?

Click here (you have to be in Bluetooth range) and ideally you want to make sure the area is clear (especially if lowering the tailgate)

Then on the popup, choose frunk

I have a Pro model. No option for remote tailgate. I'm guessing they tied the frunk operation in with that protocol.

Yeah believe that's part of paak which requires lariat or platinum.
