Dealing with this myself on trying to get the updates. Any instructions on the process? Is there a risk to bricking it?
Read the main FDRS thread front to back, and then do it again. Once you have done that, as you start to try the updating, it will all make sense...but you still may have a panic attack as you watch the LVB SOC drop (like I did). In the end, everything worked great and I updated a lot of modules. My main goal was getting the new UI and PaaK, and both were successful.

As a Pro and Tesla owner, I would pay Ford for PAAK if the proximity hardware is already present. How much can the necessary parts be that Ford couldn’t later recoup it later via a paid software update? I can unlock my truck with my Apple Watch and the truck even has wireless CarPlay, why the 1980s key fob technology?
Did you ever get it working on the PRO? From what I understand the hardware for advanced telematics is built in so I wouldn't think there is nothing stopping it for the PRO

I never tried, there’s many competent members on this forum who would have if it was possible. The Ford Keypad seems to be the only successful entry modification for the Pro at this time. I do use my Apple Watch regularly to gain entry access and it’s quite convenient. Ford should provide the hardware in each vehicle (PAAK, heated steering wheel, ACC, Lane Centering, etc.) and then charge via a software update to enable. With the VIN of your truck, the dealership can already log into the truck remotely to check codes etc. A software defined vehicle gives them this capability.

Beware if you have iWatch paired to iPhone. Bluetooth doesn’t play well when both are present and Paak won’t work.
Great point. I've run into connections freezing or dropping but never considered the fact that I have both watch and iPhone on bluetooth. I'll have to test without the watch and see if there is an improvement. Thanks!!
