No Phone as a Key (PAAK)

I had never needed PAAK until 2 days again when I misplaced my key fob while working out. Turns out I discovered I don't have PAAK on my Ford App. I have an early build 2022 Lariat edition. I tried deleting the Ford App and reinstalling but to no avail. I'm soon to get 20000 mile check-up and though no longer under warranty, I'm wondering if my Ford dealer can install PAAK availability. I'm turning to this forum to see if there are any other suggestions...or do I have to accept that my Lariat build just didn't include PAAK. Thanks

Sorry about Your lost fob. It might turn up.

FYI I also do not have PAAK on my phone. I like using the fob, for among other reasons its skeleton key for the glove box, the spare tire lock and the center console. The teens use the SecureLock door keypad and so do I so that the other fob doesn't "walk away".

I also installed a heavy-gauge steel Kimber pistol box on a loop steel cord in the Lightning, in an innocuous place. One of my two spare fobs lives in that Kimber steel box, swaddled with aluminum foil as my DIY cheap Faraday box. I can open / lock the Kimber box with my house key, and thus I will never be without a fob while in the truck.

If your battery size is Standard Range, this trim level did not have PAAK as a standard feature.

It would have needed an options packages that brought this feature, I'm not sure if it can be added by the dealer now.

Some early lightings did not ship with it.. even though it had the equipment installed. It was made available with a software update a few months after release. I remember this because I helped a few people get it working prior to the update.

The easiest way to know if you have phone as a key is if you have passive entry door handles on front and rear doors. Trucks without PAAK do not have the passive on the rear doors.
