Remote start shut down w Frunk Open

Went grocery shopping today and remote started my truck to cool it off as we live in Peoria AZ.
I opened the front with the remote but the truck turned off. Why? App saidfrunk opened truck turned off.
to me this is a stupid setting.
I could see the usefulness of not being able to engage reverse or drive with the frunk opened, but to just shut it down while I was trying to cool it down for my wife while I loaded groceries was not cool. Literally.

Well known issue many folks agree with you, maybe someday this issue will be corrected with better logic.

Same happened to me after a swim meet today. I was about to say I feel better knowing I am not the only one, but that means it isn't just a setting I can change. :-( Hopefully, they give us options soon.

1) Remote start.
2) Open door, start truck.
3) Open frunk.

Yes, it's annoying, but there are ways around it.

Ultimately that’s what I ended up doing. Start truck open frunk. Still beats the heck out of my first truck. 70 Chevy no ac. Then again I thought it was the bomb back then. God bless America

I thought it was the bomb back then.

With the gas tank in the cab and fill neck right behind the driver, those old C-10s kinda were. I think they moved them out of the cab in the early '70s.

Now that I think of it, you’re right. I remember it . Wasn’t the bomb I was referring to but definitely not a good spot for it. Still loved the truck though. I drove it all over the southwest mountains and deserts from 1985 to 1991.
