We should start assembling photos to help us collectively figure this out. @biers, did you snap any photos while you had the door panel off? Maybe we can get photos of the higher trims with the wiring from someone doing a speaker upgrade.

I read somewhere that the secure code wiring is there, but didn’t look for it when I had mine open. I have my secure code from the dealer. Much prefer intelligent access.
Shoot, still waiting for someone to provide that confirmation.

All the auto parts stores online won't allow returns as the Pro trim shows an unsupported VIN.

FYI, I believe with intelligent access you also need to replace the door handles. I found a website that is quoting $1,000 for said handles with color matching paint.

In one of the other threads there were these photos from a Lariat.

Would be helpful to have some equivalent Pro door photos.

I probably should have taken more pictures, but here is what I did take. The cable going through the middle of the access hole looks like it might be some sort of impact sensor.

The third picture is the door handle where the cable would attach.

The more I look at it, maybe that is the cable for it and its just clipped on there so it doesn't rattle? Might have to take it apart again tomorrow. Thoughts?

That is my photo, but I believe a Lariat door would be the same from a sheet metal perspective and likely the same modules. It is surprising what is on those doors, including crash sensors and other control modules. There is a TON of wiring in them.

Also keep in mind that black sound material is what I added, that is not there from the factory. The large holes in the door are covered with a thick plastic as a vapor barrier.

For reference here is a picture of a front and rear door before I took the factory vapor barriers off of them. Also a close up of one of the control modules on the front door.

I think you might be right. So, for the doors, we might just need the handles.

Looking at the following parts diagram, I would guess we would already have most of those parts. But I wonder about whether we will have #5 (and whether #5 is even needed).

https://parts.lakelandford.com/a/Fo...0833852/Keyless-entry-components/MH22128.html

If we have all that, then the last hurdle may be whether some FDRS or FORScan tinkering is required to get it to working.

I've taken the initial leap of faith and ordered the Bronco handles.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get complete build sheets so we can try to identify what other hardware might be missing or need to change?

So, I think the door wiring on the XLT High may not be the same as on the Pro.

This is the XLT High driver door wiring:

https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/electrical/wire-looms-and-connectors/jumper-wire-14618975-1?pdp=y

This is the Pro driver door wiring:

https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/electrical/wire-and-cables/jumper-wire-14562291-1?pdp=y

I think the images are stock images, and may not actually reflect the wiring on the Pro.

Also, I saw in another thread that the Lightning Intelligent Access handles may be wired to the RFA module, which I don't think the Pro or regular XLT have.

I cancelled my handles order until I can get more info on the RFA and wiring issue. May be some time until I can get to it.

If anyone has their door panel off in the meantime and peels back that plastic to look inside, photos would be much appreciated.

Would love photos of wiring to handle for both a truck that has intelligent access, and one that does not.

Also if you happen to find the part number tag on your driver door wiring harness and can snap a picture, that would also be helpful.

That’s too bad I was really looking forward to this. You may want to reach out to @Jesse-Infotainment on the 14th gen forum as he is a wealth of knowledge.

Had the doors apart and have removed the white vapor barriers to replace the speakers. I have a Lariat. I can tell you there is a lot of wiring and I believe a module of some sort in behind the door handles. It's been a few weeks since I was in there and I didn't take any pictures up inside that part of the door. Here are some pictures that might at least help see some of the wiring.

It was, in fact, one of his posts that clued me into the RFA. There is also the issue of programming. There are just a handful of addresses used for the RFA, so it shouldn't be that hard to figure out. I haven't seen FORSCAN information for the RFA for either the Lightning or the Mach-E. Have any of you?

Thanks, Greg, for the additional photos and info. I really appreciate all of it (as I'm sure the rest of the Pro and XLT owners on this thread do).

Wanted to see if anyone has tried going further with this mod? Just handles, new harness, and RFA module?
